Yes. Still a potent threat, especially for the likes of Su-30, MiG-29, and Mirages-2000. Also, there are more F-16s available than J-10Cs or the prospective 36-40 J-35s (unless more J-10s are added to the equation). Speaking from armament perspective only, this should keep Block 18s and MLU relevant for at least 10 to 15 more years.
india would go for super sukhoi upgrade plus su 57 with very long range missile . i think its r 37 i dnt know its correct one or not but it has been used in ukraine aginst f 16

"would go for" is the big issue here.

On paper the C8 outranges the Meteor too

sir any news about V upgrade ? any guess?
it will happen, this is like the first step, the PAF is gonna need tp upgrade them to be able to exploit these fully, plus, it does not change balance of power anyway.

Amraam c8/D is an even bigger deal IMO. Its always been reserved exclusively for top level US allies, whereas F-16V was always available to the PAF

PAF getting either the C8 or D3 AMRAAM!!!!!

Raytheon Co., Tucson, Arizona, was awarded a $41,681,329 firm-fixed-price modification (P00026) to a previously awarded contract (FA8675-23-C-0037) for Advance Medium Range Air-to-Air Missiles C8 and D3 variants and the production thereof. Work will be performed at Tucson, Arizona, and is expected to be completed by May 30, 2030. This contract involves foreign military sales to United Kingdom, Poland, Pakistan, Germany, Finland, Australia, Romania, Qatar, Oman, Korea, Greece, Switzerland, Portugal, Singapore, Netherlands, Czech Republic, Japan, Slovakia, Denmark, Canada, Belgium, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Italy, Norway, Spain, Kuwait, Finland, Sweden, Taiwan, Lithuania, Isreal, Bulgaria, Hungary, and Turkey. d3 is the local version i.e. for USAF (and top tier allied nations) and c8 is export version of d3 afaik.
therefore pakistan is getting c8s akin to pl-15e to pl-15

All export clients recieve C8's i believe which for all intents and purposes are identical, barring the software.

Even the c8's underwent the F3R program like the D3's.

F3R extended the range over baseline D/C8 even, i believe the ranges are identical, its other software modifications that are specific to USAF.

Kinda weird that they announced the C8 before the F16V

Its because the Pakistani order was added to a prexisting contract:

This contract involves unclassified Foreign Military Sales to Bahrain, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Finland, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, Norway, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Switzerland, Ukraine, and the United Kingdom, which accounts for approximately 39% of the contract value.

this was the original contract, then under modification p00026 the following was added:

This contract involves foreign military sales to United Kingdom, Poland, Pakistan, Germany, Finland, Australia, Romania, Qatar, Oman, Korea, Greece, Switzerland, Portugal, Singapore, Netherlands, Czech Republic, Japan, Slovakia, Denmark, Canada, Belgium, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Italy, Norway, Spain, Kuwait, Finland, Sweden, Taiwan, Lithuania, Isreal, Bulgaria, Hungary, and Turkey.

So it was expanded, hence why it was announced as this contract/prod lot is due to run for the next 5 years- which is why. Pakistani order was tacked onto a pre-existing order.

Range wise it looks like C8 is on par with Meteor!?
