From an Indian perspective they’ve plugged holes in Pakistan’s nuclear doctrine. There have been skirmishes in 2019 and 2025 while the exchange has been non-nuclear.

Hence, this gives them confidence to create another opening in the future on a manufactured pretext keeping the skirmish below the nuclear threshold.

I mean, if you were an Indian, being the one who attacks and having an initiative will always mean you will succeed atleast once after a couple tries.

From the learnings of the past, there needs to be a doctrine change on the Pakistani side. A pre-emptive strike on India in face of imminent threat, downing of a HVT (INS Vikrant) or a Babur homing in on RSS terror camp. That may calm them down a tad bit.

Completely agree with this.

Pakistan cannot afford to allow India to take the initiatives. But from the last 3 supposedly conflicts, it shows a trend of Pakistan responding even more decisively each time. So let's trust our military planners.


2016: Nothing happened except for cross border exchanges.

2019: A glide weapon managed to penetrate through the borders and Pakistan responded a few days later.

2025: Pakistan responded instantaneously after their aircrafts released their weapons. However, took another 3 days before we launch our own operations.

I really hope the next time India has a big strike package like that again, Pakistan will take the initiative and not give a single face.
