If US offered PAF say 4 F-16V Sqds (72 planes) at $9 Billion plus say $1 Billion to upgrade our 18 C/Ds. That is 5 full V squadrons.

Saudis fund the package, we then station a wing (2 Sqds) in Saudi and keep 3 Sqds in Pak.

Yeah, if funds had to come from PAF then many better ways to spend it for sure, but if Saudi wants to keep Trump happy and strengthen the SMDA, it seems like a no brainer, and the C8 pre order money may be a strong hint...

Unsure, just very strange Bahrain paid $75 million and Jordan $300 million for same plane! Not matter how different the weapons/traning/spares packages are for both deals, that is a massive difference.

No one is gonna spend 9 billion on someone else's airforce when they could spend that on themselves and get far more in return. Imo if they fund purchases for us (which is a big if), it will be Chinese weaponry, which they won't purchase directly due to political reasons. Think something like the HQ-19 which Pak could offer to station in KSA in return or a bit more far fetched: J-35s.

if you make PDF members in charge of Arab militaries then Competency levels in those militaries might actually improve marginally.

The delivery of AMRAAMS are more than a year away and Trump administration can change its mind. They are using sweeteners to Pakistan to force India to accept the trade and policy demands. We can only celebrate when they are all delivered.

Assuming they feel threatened by Israel, F-16Vs even if operated by PAF won't change much in that regard when facing F-35Is. Besides we all know where the US stands when it comes to Israel.
