People suggesting freakin fatahs and other lrs use on the talibs is way way expenisve....we dont have enough stock of them already and you are saying to fire them on the guys who will blow themselves up after being tricked to belive that this will make them enter heaven....

This exactly right here. If de-escalation happens now this is exactly what they will claim. It doesn’t matter what actually happened it will all be buried in claims and counter claims.

They will maintain the facade of invincibility and will be emboldened to keep carrying out TTP attacks probably more audaciously.

The punishment needs to exact a visible and heavy toll. Break the narrative. Till they openly and publicly beg for de-escalation.

It has to be a very visible affair because it has to break the narrative of invincibility. Shock and awe via constant precise strikes. Visible to afghan public and made visible to the world by constant release of footage after footage.
