In the program "Egyptian Air Force Sky Eagles" released today, Officially, as part of the celebration of the 93rd anniversary of the Egyptian Air Force and during a discussion about the latest Egyptian fighter jets, a shot of the J-10C fighter jet was shown, indicating its presence in the Egyptian Air Force. Some Chinese sources had previously reported that Egypt would purchase 40-48 fighters in a rapid supply. Simply put, Egypt brought in an additional air brigade to support the MIG-29M fighter brigade, which is undergoing modernization with a new radar. The two aircraft MIG-29M & J-10C replaced the MIG-21 and F-7 fighters in air defense and ground attack missions. This is an indication of the acceleration of the modernization program and the closing of gaps. Egypt extended the lifespan of the F-16 fighter jets to 12,000 flight hours for the airframes and engines to 6,000 flight hours in a seven-year program, in addition to providing air-to-ground munitions such as Tariq bombs. Egypt rejected American development due to American arms restrictions and is undergoing local development programs with international cooperation.
Egypt is accelerating the introduction of Chinese fifth-generation fighters, in addition to replacing the F-16 fighters. MIRAGE-5 with Rafale fighters, as Egypt completes the equipping of the first brigade of Rafale fighter jets, 54, and is negotiating the next brigade in two phases to replace the Mirage fighters. Meanwhile, Egypt has introduced the CH-9D drones, whose presence we are awaiting announcement. Their sole purpose is to use them as a cheap platform for launching Chinese hypersonic missiles. It is believed that the first batch that Egypt acquired was 24 of these aircraft. Egypt has quietly exploited the Israeli war on Gaza and Lebanon to expedite the delivery of weapons to the Egyptian army, under the pretext of Israeli threats to invade Sinai and displace Palestinians. In other words, Egypt is simply not announcing its full capabilities, but rather a portion of them.
Moving on to a more important and sensitive point, one of the websites announced the news of Egypt becoming a center for exporting Chinese weapons to Russia and Africa instead of direct exports from China to them.

More importantly, the dozens of Chinese transport aircraft that arrived in Egypt in 2025 were not carrying weapons or test models of weapons, but rather Chinese production lines for arms factories in Egypt. The new factory, which began production of training aircraft in 2024, is a prelude to a Chinese fighter jet factory for the Egyptian and African fighter markets. Egypt was able to raise funding through arms deals with North African countries after the West and the Americans erred in banning the supply of weapons to the Libyan army and confiscating Chinese drones carried by ships to Libya.

Major defense agreements between Egypt and South Korea
November 20, 2025:
Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received South Korean President Lee Jae-myung on his first visit to Egypt since assuming office, which coincides with the thirty-year anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
The official reception ceremony included a parade of the honor guard, playing the national anthem, and taking a memorial photo of the two presidents and their spouses, followed by a closed consultation session and then an expanded session with the participation of the delegations of the two countries.
During his meeting today with the South Korean President, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi expressed his aspiration to enhance cooperation between Egypt and South Korea in various fields, especially in the defense, educational and investment industries.
For his part, the South Korean President stressed his country's keenness to expand the scope of defense cooperation with Egypt, which currently includes joint production of the K-9 self-propelled howitzer, to also include the FA-50 advanced training and light combat aircraft, in addition to the Cheonggeum/TAipers anti-tank missile.
President Sisi responded by saying: “I trust Korean defense technology, and I hope for mutually beneficial cooperation, including joint production.”
In a joint press conference, the Egyptian President called on Korean companies specialized in the automobile industry and shipbuilding to invest in Egypt and benefit from the incentives provided by the government, indicating Cairo’s endeavor to develop an attractive investment environment for technology and industry.
Al-Sisi also indicated that he discussed with his South Korean counterpart a proposal to establish a Korean university specializing in science and technology in Egypt, in addition to studying the possibility of establishing Korean schools with the aim of transferring the educational experience and exchanging experiences.
The Egyptian President stressed the agreement between the two countries on the importance of supporting stability in the Middle East and the Korean Peninsula, stressing Cairo's keenness to strengthen the strategic partnership with Seoul at all levels.

Congratulations to Egypt for the technology transfer and manufacturing of the South Korean FA-50 fighter and training aircraft Egypt will own 100 aircraft, with 70 of them to be manufactured locally, as the South Korean aircraft shares 70% of its components with the F-16 aircraft

LIG Nex1 unveils AESA radar for FA-50 light fighter
The technology can simultaneously detect, track multiple targets and trace those in the air and on the ground ..it is a radar using an air-cooling system KAI FA-50’s tandem glass cockpit can carry two crew members. It is equipped with a wide field of view head-up display (HUD), colour multifunction displays (MFDs), digital engine instrumentation, Hands On Throttle-And-Stick (HOTAS), integrated up-front controls, and zero-zero ejection seat.
The flight control systems include digital fly-by-wire, active stick, electrical emergency power unit, digital break-by-wire and triple redundant electrical system.
The cockpit also integrates an On-Board Oxygen Generation Systems (OBOGS). The Night Vision Imaging System (NVIS) aboard the aircraft ensures mission capability during day and night.
The avionics package consists of embedded Inertial Navigation System/Global Positioning System (INS/GPS), integrated mission computer, identification, friend or foe (IFF), radar altimeter, multimode radar, store management system, UHF/VHF radio, tactical data link, data transfer and recording system, Radar Warning Receiver (RWR) and Counter Measure Dispensing System (CMDS).
FA-50 aircraft can carry a weapons load of up to 4.5t. The aircraft can be armed with AIM-9 Sidewinder short-range air-to-air missiles, AGM-65 Maverick air-to-ground tactical missiles (AGM), GBU-38/B Joint Direct Attack Munitions (JDAM), CBU-105 Sensor Fused Weapon (SFW), Mk-82 Low Drag General Purpose (LDGP) bombs and Cluster Bomb Units (CBUs).
The aircraft is also mounted with an internal, three-barrel 20mm Gatling gun and LAU-3/A 19-tube 2.75″ rocket launcher for firing Folding-Fin Aerial Rockets (FFAR). The wide range of weapon systems aboard the FA-50 jet allows it to counter multiple threats in today’s complex battlefield scenario.
The FA-50 platform will be integrated with Lockheed Martin’s Sniper advanced targeting pod (ATP), which is an electro-optical targeting system encased in a single, lightweight pod. It will expand the capabilities of FA-50 with two-colour laser spot tracking (LST), high-definition, forward-looking infrared (FLIR), and the Global Scope™ sensor software suite for non-traditional intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (NTISR) missions.
The FA-50 is typically operated with two crew members but can be flown by a single pilot. Ferry range extends to 2,592 kilometers with external fuel tanks. The aircraft features modular avionics that support upgrades including synthetic aperture radar, terrain-following modes, data links, and automatic collision avoidance systems. Export versions additionally feature helmet-mounted displays and enhanced electronic warfare systems. These performance attributes, combined with its modular avionics and multirole flexibility, place the FA-50 among the most capable light combat aircraft currently on the market.
