It is hopeless talking to a wall! I end it here!
Because you have no PROOFS/EVIDENCE that MORE THAN ONE PROTOTYPES OF J-20 IS EQUIPPED WITH WS-15

SORRY TO SAY DUDE YOUR MENTAL DISABILITY HAS NO CURE

Stealth missile truck! It's smaller than a palm's RCS, with 12 total missiles (8 outside +4 internal weapons bay missiles), it would still be stealthier than all other jets China fields in the 4.5th gen category.

So if this sneaks to the back of an attack formation of USN or USAF jets, and takes out support aircrafts like tankers, EW, etc, you've cut the range of the entire strike formation and they'll be forced to cut the mission short and land in SK or nearest Japanese island for fuel as refuelers will be destroyed.

The question you raised is very tricky. The 112 Factory has very high requirements for confidentiality. Now there is basically no clear photo of the J-20 airport. Even the J-20 No. 2052 had a clear photo only a year after its first flight.

Currently, the only J-20 fighters confirmed to use WS-15 are No. 2051, No. 2052 and No. 2055.

Since when are 51 & 55 confirmed when we have no Images showing the exhausts?

My understanding is that the PLAAF intends to use the WS-15 as the J20A (let's call it that)Some prototypes will test radar and avionics, such as No. 2053, and some will test WS-15, such as No. 2052.In order to ensure the attendance rate, No. 2053 must choose the old WS-10C as the power source.
According to the Aviation Power website, China's current engine life test is a long-term test of the whole machine bench + field leading use mode. I think there must be more than one J-20 testing WS-15.

Here is what Huitong said
A recent video (June 2023) suggested that the J-20A #2052 prototype powered by two WS-15 turbofans just conducted its maiden flight. The engine appears to feature only a nozzle with sawtooth edges similar to that of WS-10C but no TVC. Additional prototypes have been built, including #2053 (first seen in May 2024), #2055 (first seen March 2024) and #2056. At least one J-20A prototype (#2057) was seen wearing a two-tone gray color scheme in December 2024, with the WS-15 engines replaced by WS-10C. The latest image (July 2025) suggested that J-20A has entered the limited service with PLAAF (S/N 78x3x)

Expecting an official statement from China is unlikely due to the country's secrecy. Only decades later, China released the official first flight of J-20

The full-fuel air combat takeoff weight of the J-20 is 29 tons. Conservatively assuming the J-20's internal fuel is similar to the Flanker's, calculated at 9.5 tons, subtracting the internal fuel + 6 PL-15 missiles + 2 PL-10 missiles, the empty weight is approximately 18 tons. With a normal takeoff weight of 29 tons plus four 2400L external fuel tanks (assumed to total 8 tons), the maximum takeoff weight is 37 tons.

The YF-23 was soo far ahead of its time, it is crazy to think about it now. What flew was a prototype and the cost of taking that design and moving it to operational use is cost prohibitive given that all the manufacturing is gone, and the engine itself would pose problems.

The Tempest/GCAP is considered to be a derivative of the YF-23 design with adjustments for longer range that Japan requires. the Americans could always buy the design once it is complete, or buy off the shelf ( there would be no desire by the GCAP partners to add USA at this stage as it would completely derail the entire programme ).

Does America’s edge in stealth, design brilliance, and raw performance still matter? Or is it being drowned out by China’s growing mastery of scale, integration, and doctrine?

Its funny the american still believe they have an edge over China in raw performance and stealth, a F-23 still have the range issues of F-22, a little bit better maybe, but nothing change the outcome in East Asia threate, and what a modified F-23 will be up against is probably J-36/J-50/high-end CCAs and UAVs/super-long range hypersonic anti-air missiles (like CJ1000 which China show in Sept. 3), instead of just J-20s.

I guess everyone have an edge until a PL/CJ/HQ catches them.

Lol, keep believing that
