This so called ceasefire doesn't include TTP/BLA etc terrorists. Only Taliban regime as long they stay quite when Pakistan strikes terrorist camps.

In that case Taliban will quickly loss credibility unless they themselves prevent TTP/BLA terrorists to cross over to Pakistan to avoid strikes.

Any follow up TTP and BLA attacks henceforth must have a Pakistani response into the areas of Afghanistan TTP and BLA inhabit

"A ceasefire agreement between Pakistan and Afghanistan has been finalized. The series of terrorism from Afghanistan on Pakistan's soil will be stopped immediately. Both neighboring countries will respect each other's territory. Alhamdulillah The delegations will meet again in Istanbul on 25 October. And detailed matters will be discussed. We are sincerely grateful to both brotherly countries, Qatar and Turkey"

We need to wait and see what is agreed in the second round of talks - all this is saying is both parties agreed to a pause.

We all know the pause doesnt include non-state actors that was the reason behind this flareup in the first place.

Just having 'street support' is an indicator of nothing. Hitler had support of 78% Germans, Stalin had support of 70% Russians, and I can go on. That does not mean those people were any good for them or their country's future. Most common people do not have the firsthand strategic or political knowledge to know what is good for their countries. even counties like the US Fudge election results when they know that the people are not making the right decision.

On the other hand, Jinnah had support of less than 30% of the total Muslim population in 1947 and Gandhi had support of less than 35% of total Hindu population. Still they did things that would resonate for centuries to come.

In case of Pakistan, the Army brass that is making all the successes in international and military domain, would know better how to handle the things. Don't forget that its the IK/Bajwa/Faiz team that caused all of this mess in 2021. If Pakistan has finally made the commitment to get out of the Taliban nexus then we need to stop the same 40 year old fantasy of negotiating with the Taliban and deal with them in a different way. A buffer Zone and expulsion of Afghans is the correct approach and there is no need to again negotiate and get bitten by them after another 2 years.

Your argument promotes historical amnesia, strategic tunnel vision, and a reflexive disdain for democratic legitimacy. Pakistan’s future demands inclusive governance, not recycled authoritarian fantasies.

Wrong. The Jihadists of the 80s weren't nationalistic and neither were the 90's Taliban. These new breed are the product of American occupation where they merged Afghan nationalism with their religious zeal. Many of them were former ANA who always had a problem with Pakistan. Not to mention that the Americans and her allies took out the most Islamic Taliban leaders meanwhile the ones with the Nationalism flavor were largely not touched as much. You lack clear understanding in how societies change over time - especially those in wars/conflicts. No one is left untouched. The culture changes. American occupation changed many Iraqis and Afghans where they are more agnostic towards religion. The Asians went through the same experience under the US occupations - adopting American/Western habits. No different than our forefathers losing in 1857. I was shocked initially when I used to come across Iraqis eating pork and behaving very Un-Islamically back in the 00s. It made sense to me as they went experienced some of the most vicious cycle of violence which naturally turned many away from Islam. Not to mentioned many of them saw their own people thoroughly defeated and occupied by a culture that so sharply contrasted with their own that many decided to join the "superior" winning side and adopt its culture. Food for thought...
