It was the same F-104 from which he ejected.

Too bad I never saw any PAF F-104s fly out of Luke. Used to watch the Luftwaffe launch from there.

The current PAF leadership and even pilots have some very large shoes to fill given PAFs amazing history, the pressure must be real on the young pilots given they would hearing stories of Legends.
