@Meengla sb

on top of the Trump Tariff's on India.

How are Trump tariffs on IND helpfully to PAK?

Btw, the latest buzz is that a deal is in the offing. IND will restruct Russian oil purchase and the tariffs will be reduced to 20-25% level.

When mcdonald's leaves will the rebranded Russian version come in?

so far zero performance...

as a former army boot licker Mufta Ismail recently stated in a seminar each year " Pakistanis are getting poor every year"

and for all those D grade economics students who think a third world country should give out subsidies please ask for refund from your schools

for more advance students of economics they know subsubzidies is a terrible idea

1) most of is lost v corruption buearcacy ( a common third world problem)

2) Subsidies given to one sector means another sector has to be taxed or take you begging bowl

3) subsidies by it's self dont solve the problem... the core economic problem

Macdonald only caters to a small market in Pakistan... mostly people who live in DHA etc

and mostly people from over seas Pakistani who have purchasing power or the corrupt , choor daku people..

and average salary of a Doctor/ CA with 3 years experience is 300K... and combo cost 2000+ rupees... minimum pay is 30,000 or so.

As long as the CAD, fiscal deficit and debt levels stay within stipulated target, IMF wouldn't.

Leaving means they closed their business and are on their way back home, taking all the investments and closing all the infrastructure and manufacturing. this is simply just an acquisition nothing more to it.

no need to make everything sensational, specially when you have 0 knowledge about economics.

@LC150

I suspect it will be acquired by SABIC or some other Gulf petchem giant. No net loss to Pak economy.

These multinationals are getting fierce competition from local companies who can do figure fudging and other unethical deeds to enhance profits..... MNCs don't do illegal things to cut the cost down.
