They are excellent climbers and alot of times carry baggage of others who pay them to do so.

I know 4 of them are Sherpas... however they don't seem to have enough clients/ climbers to warrant so many of them.

Pakistan Army rescue teams have so far recovered two bodies, identification of the remains is underway.

Imagine the cost associated with Pakistani Army getting involved in this extremely expensive and time consuming rescue effort. It is outrageous. Who pays for all of this?

Yes, families are involved of the deceased and the rest, but these climbers understand the risks associated with climbing such colossal mountains. An accident is always a real possibility. You are dealing with nature. Climbing such colossal mountains is simply put an incredibly risky business. When you succeed people hail your effort. When you fail it is often the end. That is the bitter reality.

Pakistan should at the very very least have some sort of alpine rescue team like in most nations. They should be equipped and have proper training. It doesn't make sense for soldiers to carry out rescue missions.

These precious assets should not be used for professional mountaineers that willingly climb dangerous mountains for thrill and sport. It is all about egos. That is my point. It looks silly and more than that, these people understand the associated risks. Imagine the risk the military personnel is taking to reach the mountaineers. What if something happens to them? You can rest assured that the discussion will change in a heartbeat. The alpine club of Pakistan should suffice and that too for missions that are doable.

The Pakistani military has better things to do. The Pakistani people pay their taxes for much more important things. Things like cleaning up Indian and Afghan terror inside Pakistan. The US military doesn't face the security challenges like Pakistan. If the Americans have the money and people to do such things, more power to them.

The alpine club should have some training and gear sponsored with the money and help of these mountaineers.
