All these 4 AD systems are short range, wonder if PAF or PA itself are in talks to order more HQ-9B's or some other medium to long range AD systems.

Short range systems are cheaper to operate and much more useful against drones.

I 100% agree with you, our Air force needs a big Boost, addition 3-4 sqs of 4++ Gen fighter jets, be it JF-17b3's or J-10CE's or F-16'sV's or mix of all. We already are down 1 sq which we send to KSA, so i hope PAF is working to fill whatever Gap they got from this deployment.

when you have an army or AF or navy, which is smaller than the adversary, what do you do ?
You induct unmanned systems, since your manpower is limited. Thats where drones and LMs come in.

In Pakistan's case, an addition of drones or LM's in all arms of military provides that extra punch since these dont need to eat, sleep, medical or have other health issues like altitude, lethargy etc.
