In couple of decades china will dwarf combined strength of G7.... china is not going to forgive , how it takes revenge is not fully clear yet ...most probably it will screw them economically.

The US will most likely retain it's position of having the largest Nominal GDP for the foreseeable future.

China's GDP growth rate is just no longer high enough to surpass the US.

It's not possible to constantly give 10% growth rate for more than two decades , it's still around 5% .....china is taking much needed breather , in her next growth cycle she will surpass G7 in per capita income....next growth cycle will be in cutting edge technology.

I think the collective West has pre-empted this already that's why they've thrown in so many spanners in the works related to 5G, Chips, AI, etc. Every single disruption has some impact on China's overall growth and it is working to some extent. 🤔

If these annoying (but polite) disruptions didn't happen, China would still be growing over at least 8% annually.

What do you think @Michael ?

All I can say is: you cannot use Western economic theories to view the Chinese economy.

China's economy operates with two parallel systems. What the outside world sees is only the private sector, while the truly powerful state-owned sector remains completely invisible.
