9-11 Twenty Fifth Anniversary (2026)

Sad that 3000 people lost their lives that day. RIP. Horrible act of murder whoever did it.
Equally as sad was the murder of millions of souls across Afghanistan, Iraq, Pakistan etc that had nothing to do with the events in US.

LETS take a moment to remember them too.

I agree with you that America's imperial wars against others is a disgusting act of murder as well.

I condemn the Afghanistan and Iraq wars as well.

it was proven as dangerous to show publicly support feelings for the innocent victims, when someone had a goverment like 2001 Bush administration that handled those public emotions as justification for unrelated wars and more innocent people killing.

so yes, we must not forget the other innocent victims too that was direct consequence of a liar government handling the public pain and solidarity towards 9 11 innocent victims.

wars that made all kind of everyday abuse with impunity against local innocent people

we all must think twice before repeat publicly government backed emotions narrative.

Care to elaborate on how a horrific event like this managed to change the world in the right direction?
Third-party actors have lost much of their support, and these days, no one openly calls an attack in another country an act of “freedom fighting” as easily as before.

Earlier, even the highest leaders of a country openly used to describe such people as “freedom fighters,” despite the fact that they had killed others.

So the change of world in right direction is avoid to some people scream stupid things.

I think world has bigger problems than that.

When Ukraine war started in 2022, Spanish city halls started campaigns asking humanitarian help to people for send to Ukraine.

Among the things they asked was: Water.

The most stupid thing ever, send water from Spain to Ukraine, dozen times more expensive the transport than the product itself that it could be bought everywhere.

So the conclusion is the target of campaign was not help, but to use people solidarity emotions to gain popular support for a endless Ukraine Russia war.

So yes, we never learn, watch out when you follow mourning campaigns sponsored by governments, because they will misuse your feelings to justify the killing of more innocent people.

They did in 9 11.
They did Ukraine 2022 war.
And they will do endless times more, because people is more easy to handle with emotions than arguing or reasoning.

This remembrance without remembering

  1. Hundred of thousands of Afghans killed and displaced
  2. Millions of Iraqis killed
  3. Thousands of Pakistanis killed and property destroyed
  4. Millions suffering in Syria and Libya
is selective. Everything that happened after 9/11 is linked and needs to be remembered without prejudice, without distinction, without any heed to creed. Else it is just an incident that happened thousands of miles away from most of us.

And for people who only care about their Western life: ISIS creation was direct consequence of Iraq war, most of their people come from Iraqi jails.

Elaborate? "Right direction"
F-ed up our whole world
You mean militia groups and their supporters are doing good for the world?

Even in the 1990s, when the Taliban were able to fully control most of Afghanistan, was that considered a good thing?

I can list down dozens of such groups, supported or still being supported by others while being called “freedom fighters” or “mujahideen.”

The latest example is Palestine. many of these countries were enjoying when Israel was attacked and Hamas killed unarmed Israeli civilians. Yet the same countries are now agreeing, under a peace framework, that Hamas should be disarmed.

Either those countries were wrong earlier by supporting or legitimising such groups, or they are wrong now. I can list numerous examples of this contradiction.

So the simple point is: at least after 9/11, they don't come forward and directly say that such groups are “freedom fighters.” Even when someone starts claiming it was a “false flag operation,” they now don't dare to openly justify the perpetrators by saying it was done by “mujahideen” or “freedom fighters.

Only Iran is exception in the list and they are paying the costs for the decades
