We don't have any problem recognising them as we were only one of the 3 countries that recognised their previous stint.

The other 2 countries who recognised Taliban 1.0 were Saudi Arabia and the UAE. And, they recognised the Taliban back then only because we persuaded them to.

We were going to get rest of the world to recognise them as well but 11 September 2001 happened. They didn't listen to us, and had their country invaded and destroyed.

Saudi Arabia and the UAE were quick to drop their recognition which was done within days, but we dragged our feet ending our recognition even though they had been totally toppled by then.

They took refuge in our land for two decades while fighting with NATO's puppet Government. It had indirectly cost us around $150 billion in economic losses, yet Taliban 2.0 wasted no time recognising the TTP as their legitimate comrades as soon NATO left Afghanistan, and also went running into the lap of our enemy, India.

Such treachery.

So, please don't lecture us how we should treat Taliban 2.0 today. Had we wanted, we could've and still can give a military base or allow overflights to the US to carpet bomb that Kabaristan.
