After ACMI PAF F-16s Now Equipped With Indigenious ECM Pods !

While its well established that Pakistani developed ACMI pod are now widely deployed on the PAF F-16s , several sources are now reporting that PAF has now also successfully integrated its indigenously developed ECM PODs on its F16 fleet. Hinting that PAF wants to upgrade and improve F16 system indigenously in future.

These are Turkish SDT ACMI not the indigenous GIDS ones on the aircraft.

And that pod in the second is a DB110 recce pod not ECM.

There's only so much you can purchase and if you have acquired the capability or maybe enhanced it then why not utilise it widely.

Electronics EW is key to warfare now and the USA supplied EW kits to PAF were downgraded variant due to Indian sensitivies.. So having a fully featured variant is key to PAF.

I don't think the PAF is crazy to replace US systems with anything less capable. These are obviously much more capable.

DRFM is now available to PAF on its KG600 pods and localized (maybe) version called Panjnad pod.
