Aftermath of the Iran-US war and its effects on proximities

Pakistan really needs more refuellers and logistics aircraft in general. The americans and Israelis are able to keep up 200 planes in the air at the same to hit targets thousands of km away really impressive stuff. What we need is some boom tankers for falcons. Maybe something like a330 mrtt is way to go? (Ignore that as always funds prevent this)

Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Guo Jiakun’s Regular Press Conference on March 13, 2026 Link
Reuters: It was reported that India has requested that the Chinese government issue some export quotas for urea to help India make up for the supplies that were lost because of the closure of the Strait of Hormuz. Given the recent improvement of diplomatic ties between the two countries, will China give serious consideration to this request?

Guo Jiakun: I’d refer you to competent authorities.

American economy isn't small and they have access to bases and maintenance hubs in different regions. Russia and China are unable to protect their allies. Iran is suffering heavy losses and losing its capability to project power:

Iran can threaten ships in the Persian Gulf but for how long. The US actually benefit from appreciation in oil prices. It is others who cry.

Yes not a small economy but also 18 trillion in debt. The above is Partically True but not when their ME bases are under attack. US has no option but to fly long range making it expensive.

It will be difficult for China to export, given its own spring planting season, and imports from the Middle East will be restricted due to the conflict. Urea production is projected to be 76.5 million tons in 2026, and domestic usage is around 66 million tons.1 This month, the Chinese tapped into their strategic reserve.

While there is a surplus, it's being held to stabilize the domestic market.

Let's also not forget that Ukraine was a larger exporter, and it's been operating at reduced capacity.

The longer this drags on, the more widely the effects of India's agricultural products will be felt in Europe and North America. Then just picture the rest of the countries.

China was once the world's largest producer and exporter of urea. However, in recent years, China has implemented significant policy adjustments. Consequently, China is no longer the largest producer—nor the largest exporter—of urea.

Currently, the vast majority of the urea produced in China is reserved for domestic consumption. Regarding urea exports, China enforces quota restrictions.
Chinese government agencies allocate export quotas to various markets. Exports may proceed normally, provided they remain within these quota limits.

Imo, under current circumstances, the export quotas for urea from China to the Indian market are woefully insufficient to meet India's demand. The Indian government urgently requires additional urea export licenses, specifically authorized by the Chinese government.

But... the Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson's response... carries the underlying message: No!
