What we can't do is do nothing and stay with the same system

If you could actually make the Army (followed by the elite) pay taxes and obey the law, no one else in this country would find a way to evade taxation either....

But getting the Army to abandon its colonial ways, treating the country as their fiefdom and ordinary civilians as dispensable subjects, is next to impossible....

If mistakes were made, then repercussions would follow. The govt job is to punish those who made the mistake and compensate the affectees, and not double down on the mistakes.
