Algeria has severed diplomatic ties with the United Arab Emirates after tensions between the two countries boiled over.

Algeria has consistently adhered to the principle of Arab collective unity, prioritizing the Palestinian cause and firmly opposing the normalization of relations with Israel. Algiers views the UAE's move as a fracture in the unified Arab stance, a blow to the just foundation of the Palestinian cause, and a major detriment to shared Arab interests.
As the UAE normalized ties with Israel, Morocco also joined the Accord. This has fostered a deeply intertwined bloc among the UAE, Morocco, and Israel in areas of trade, defense, and intelligence. Algeria perceives this network as a strategic encirclement, fearing that hostile intelligence and security forces are being pushed right to its doorstep via Morocco, which has triggered severe security anxieties.
