American man reveals Indian CEO took over a firm, booted out founders, hired Indians. Post goes viral amid H1B visa debate

@UKBengali It has been apparent to me for a long time that Hindus don’t get western culture.

Western culture is not just about money and academic achievements.

Indians are obsessed with academia whereas whites value sports, arts and culture equally.

Ancient Hindus famously never wrote anything down - hence Vedic history is mostly in songs sung by Brahmins.

Compare that to Greek and Arab scholars!

And the Greeks also gave birth to the Olympics - ultimate homage to competitive sports.

Look at IBM—its largest workforce is right here in India, not in the US.

And let’s be honest, you can’t outsource taxi driver or waiter jobs to Bangladesh or Pakistan.

And thats where the it starts.
By stopping companies like IBM offshoring jobs. Thats the whole debate is about. As offshoring jobs is only a short term solution thats enriches top 1% and destroys the middle class.

Thats what this whole thing is about.

As for indian IT folks, they arent an aouce better than Pakistani or Bangladeshi counterparts. Just that india have successfully managed to create a whole chain of training and exporting IT folks while the US has deliberately overlooked other sources, for various resons, including nepotism by Indian managers.

Thinking about it, Pakistani Americans are doing it fairly well in the US, without any patronizing and mass import of Pakistani IT folks.

Indians brag about high average income like if its about something magically cleverness about indian culture, but deliberately fails to mentions the main cause: mass import of one specific group of educated people. Take the top 1% educated population from anywhere and they would be also pretty good high earners.

Kola bhai,

And the Greeks also gave birth to the Olympics

As a person of Bangladeshi origin it was unfortunate that you chose to rake up the Olympics. I presume you know that BD is the largest country never to have won an Olympic medal, a distinction which we can safely assume won't change anytime soon........

Why do you think donkeys like *eon*lack ban me constantly and edit my posts?

I ain’t afraid of the truth.

What applies to Indians - largely applies to Bangladeshis as well.

With a 1,4 billion population (largest on the planet) its not like India have achieved that much either.

Norway with tiny population of 5 million have most winter Olympic medals and even doin pretty well in summer Olympics. Because the Winter olympic sports was largely invented by nordic people.

Bangladesh has never been a sports oriented nation. People there dont seem to care until recently.

Yep and you can see the Indians just talking about profit here.

They should ask themselves whether they would accept 10s of millions of say Blacks or East Asians coming into their country every year in order to boost their GDP?

Of course not as every country has a "tolerance threshold".

You cannot stop companies from offshoring jobs because these companies don’t exclusively serve the US market. They operate globally, handling projects in places like Singapore, South Africa, and beyond. Capital is free to move across the world, and these companies will create jobs where it makes the most sense economically. Even if political or social pressure arises, they might rebrand their operations—for instance, spinning off an Indian division and calling it "ABM" instead of IBM.

The fact that India has succeeded in creating a robust market for its IT professionals while Pakistan or Bangladesh hasn’t speaks volumes about India's foresight and execution in this field. It’s not just about exporting IT talent; it’s about building an ecosystem—training, placement, and marketing—that has allowed India to dominate this space. Criticizing this success overlooks the structural differences that have allowed India to thrive while others lag behind.

Ask any White American if they would accept instantly doubling America's GDP but in exchange every White person disappears.
Almost all of them would say "hell no"

Of course, they wouldn’t accept such a trade-off, and their political and business leaders understand this well. That’s precisely why they create visa regimes and schemes that allow foreign professionals to enter and work in their country. It’s not as though Indians have craftily schemed their way into the US; this has been openly facilitated by the US political and business systems to meet their economic and labour needs.
