Puppet regimes have nothing to do with Israel. Arabs and Turks have ruled Jerusalem for over 1000 yeras---so big deal if the jews take it for a lillte while.

And then the christians have more rights over Jerusalem than anyone else---.

Why should I fight for Palestine---. They had every chance to make peace with israel at Camp David---. They chose not to---.

US and jews are ruling the world, because it is the command of Allah---and who dares deny the command of Allah

I think their is a tacit belief that this conflict was flared up by Iran. The other countries feel that, if they join the conflict, they will become pawns in Iran's game and find themselves more alienated from the West.

For better or for worse, the West is still the dominant player in terms of economic, military and technological strength.

Iranians made those threats all the time---now where are they when palestinians need them the most.

With those threats---they created animosity in the minds of an average non muslim citizen world wide---an animosity that was not needed.

Well, to be fair, Iran has legitimate grievances against the West even aside from the Palestinian cause. The whole Mossadeq episode, followed by the brutal Shah regime and Savak, had nothing to do with Israel and that alone is reason enough for the Iranians to hate the US and UK.

The Israel issue is something that Iran championed because of a vacuum: where the Arabs and Turks couldn't even whimper in protest. Iran saw an opportunity to position itself as a champion of the Muslim world. Whether the support is cynical or in earnest is a matter of opinion.

What is ironic is that Iranians are at least respected in the US, maybe because of a large influential diaspora of Iranian Jews and Armenians, but the Arabs, Turks and Pakistanis elicit only derision in popular American culture.

Why would the Turks or arabs whimper to protest---. They owned that region for over a 1000 years---they fought wars for 100's of years to be in control---.

What did Iran do----nothing---nada---zilch---other than to throw fuel on the fire.

The arabs---the Turks---they understand---sometimes you the winner sometimes you are the loser---.

Who gives a rats behind about respect---they are just another group of citizens living in the US---.

The Arabs, Egyptians, Turks and Iranians are obsessed with past glory and locked in a struggle to dominate the region. That's the pity. Europeans used to do this to each other many centuries ago, but decided to turn outward instead and conquer the world. Muslims are obsessed with dominating this tiny region while the rest of the world plays them against each other and advances to the Moon.

I was talking about respect for Iranian culture. As much as they hate the mullahs, Iranian movies, poetry, history, etc. are respected in the US. Not so much for others in the region.
