PAF Conducts successful test of indigenously developed FAAZ BVRAAM

Just to prove that people will argue on anything, here's a stick.View attachment 221979

Also my claim that this is an air intake, not a cable runner.

Also this view from the back. Tge white circle below the rocket motor.
Unless PAF is using cable from a بجلی کا کھمبا۔ , a missile cable runner cannot be that thick and protruding all the way to the exaust.

Also this side view . I have circled the structure of interest. Too big for just being a cable runner. Looks like an air intake.

I hereby claim this is a Meteor style RAM Jet , and a normal solid fuel combo .

For further reference here is a banana 🍌 for scale.

I want believe you. BUt this could be a missile holder

Not against Rafale. The Indian version has self regeneration and invisibility cloak. The Indian rafales re assemble themselves after falling to the ground and disintegrating. Same as they did last time when we saw pieces of rafale burning in the fields . Then IAF claimed no losses.
The rafale reassembled transformers decepticon style , and flew away

Pakistan is becoming self-reliant in making a danda, which we need more than the one we were inclined towards.

a danda that could at last be given to the actual enemy.

hopefully, we will get to the more important work.

congratulations!

Surface to air variant is in development
Well if true this is the answer. The Indians 'layered AD' is really just a shit-ton of locally made Akash SAMs. That was something we were lacking and I think we definitely felt it.

The way both countries have been moving after May 2025 conflict has been very telling. Pakistan has been rapidly working to cover its gaps while Indians are resting on their paltry laurels.

In the past, most emphasis was on the individual fighter performance and radar, which guided the missiles, however,in future network centric battlespace, a missile/kill vehicle/OWA vehicle is just as, in fact even more important than individual fighters. Since all assets are networked and shooter aircraft will remain safely away, the kill vehicle will need to be more survivable and robust as it burns through enemy jamming as it rides the data link for most of its flight path.If all goes to plan, then an IR missile like Fa'az will give even lesser of a reaction time than what the radar guided PL-15 gave to its prey.

Why not ?

Should take advantage of all the coziness we have with the current administration.

Otherwise the Viper's fate is sealed in the long run.

We will most likely never get any of the newer PL-15 equivalent missile the US develops.

And we might not get the V kits as well.

So, at the very least we can get weapons and (hopefully) local subsystem integration...
If you can't get new missiles or new Vipers they can monitor, what makes you think they will allow you to get the source code to fire missiles?

Still not certain what benefits we're reaping off this coziness...

Where are the AH-1 (Cobras) that have 'Pakistan Army' painted on 'em?

Eitherway..., the Americans will NEVER allow for our Vipers to fire this missile (period).
