I think this video is quite good because it gave me some perspective on why there is this indian-china divide in mentality. In the 80s china and india were similar gdp wise and india + china see each other as equals. As China progressed massively and became world leaders in AI, Robotics, Green energy, Evs, drones etc, India has not been able to develop or innovate HOWEVER the indians still see China and India as equals. For Chinese as this lady explains, China does not look down on anyone whether it be africans or south east asians but they do not like being lumped in the same category when realities have changed significantly on the ground. Now the most advanced cities are all in China while the three memebers on the panel say India hasn't changed much in 25 years and quality of life has not improved at all. The lady explains that this indian held belief to lump china and india as similar is disingenuous and a lie therefore China has lost respect for India because realities have changed significantly since the 80s.

As an Indian, I have no issues in conceding that China is way ahead of India in most globally accepted metrics.
