An Indian Tejas fighter jet crashed during an aerial display at the Dubai Air Show

Yeah, when I was watching some clips of it flying I was thinking to myself this Tejas seems like an unstable aircraft and they probably badly programmed its FBW system. The pilot seemed to be struggling with it.
As I said, a tailless delta wing is fancy and all but it requires a crap ton of electronics to be able to fly. I'm betting my money that those idiots at the maintenance crew didn't smooth out the electronic problems, causing a actuator fault mid air which resulted in a spin and stall which led to the crash.

Are you stupid? We lost 5 by crashes, the F-104. Also we didn't match the IAF in crash rates ever, they on average crashed more fighter. Mainly because of their low trainer fleet to fighter ratio, as many would get supersonic flights before even understanding subsonic flights. Also IAF never operated Mig-19, while the PAF did operate the F-6 a lot while also having a below average crash rate. Better than any airforce that used them btw. Also the F-6/Mig-19 was absolutely worse in attrition compared to Mig-21. Hence a better comparison is F-7 to Mig-21, which IAF have more than double if we're being the most generous. We always had better ratio than IAF, infact one of the best in the world. Idk what you're talking about.

We lost 5 f-104s in combat not in crashes. Im talking about the fact that Pakistan has had its own share of high crash rates due to such aircraft but because of our heavy emphasis on training and procedures we have done much better than iaf historically. Look at 1990s crash records and you will see what im talking about in the ridiculous numbers of attrition we were having. Theres a report i read a while back in which he had a higher crash rates per 100k flight hours than iaf in the 90s. But because of our practices we improved whilst iaf is still world renowned as crash force

Khawaja Shb was probably feeling too lazy to write something - instead just posted a screenshot of a social media handle to express his thoughts -- anyway, good gesture being the defence minister.

It is interesting he knows/is aware of that particular handle in the first place!

Very fitting analysis from the right username

I concur with you.

Why should we care? when the neighbour wishes for our destruction on their Indian forums.

Calling us po//rki, Pa//ki, and other racist remarks like arab wannabes.

when these indio//ts, shit eaters and urine drinkers need a reality check.
Don't fall into their low standards, if you're Muslim Islam preach to tolerate negative things from non Muslim, Allah will give positive things from these negative things

I think its design is bad or the Fly-By-Wire system is badly programmed. Or both!
No
It is a good design for the parameters they focused on and its fly by wire team did a great job considering they have a pretty odd aspect ratio to deal with for a fighter.

On paper it can fly. In real life, maintenance and engineering are a major part of it being able to fly. India has already faced issues on their quality control. So it's very likely a electronic problem, seeing how the second one was literally dripping oil. Which begs the question, why risk pilots for a stupid airshow?

Hi,

This accident is no different that what happened with the

1. PAF wing cmndr in Islamabad where he crashed into the mountains

2. and the american F16 pilot before that during an aerobatic display---.

TERRAIN TERRAIN TERRAIN ISSUES---.

The F16 pilot had not adjusted the terrain elevation from the previous display sortie that he had a few days ago.

Our F16 pilot did not consider the terrain during the dive, roll etc.

Same thing happened here---. The Tejas pilot was too low when he was coming out of the last maneuver---could not come out of the dive.

come onguys ..its pilot error! shit happens fast

Flying and fighting is a dangerous business.

In any case, bad advertisement for Tejas.
