Yeah, his domestic agenda seems geuinely refreshing, country needs to get back off it's knees. he has kept very quiet about foreign policy though, that worries me a bit

I am happy to see the end of Starmer's regime finally. So happy. I am not sure about Andy Burnham, but he has a clean slate to start with and lets see where he goes. Hopefully for the better, both at home and also with UK's overseas foreign policy.

On his speech he stated he will put more pressure on Israel but that could just be more meaningless sanctions on some rightwingers in the Israeli cabinet. He held off calling Gaza a genocide.

Mass house building will act as a good economic stimulus...

Unlikely that will be a focus as the government does not want to cause a house price crash, as that will negatively affect the economy overall. The Government has pursued policies to grow house prices, as that feel good factor has lead to greater spending etc and has actively to keep house prices stable(not crash) in the last few years.

Not had a chance to look at any of the news today, I will do at the 10pm/10.30pm slot catchup with it all today.

On the little genocidal state, I am not expecting any change as that is a matter of policy at the deep state level unfortunately. We saw how the RAF was actively involved in helping Israel with direct flights over Gaza.

The UK needs some Mamdani style sensible people focused governance. There is so much scope for a huge turnaround if you have pro people and pro development policies.
