Unfortunately/tragicomically it turns out that the actual Safavids were most likely of Arab origin - confirmed by modern-day DNA tests.
But another thing (out of 100's) that we can troll anti-Arab Iranians with. See post 586.

Our biggest fights are always with either fellow Arabs, an Arabized/ethnically majority Arab nation in Israel (Israeli Arabs - 20-25% of the population + 2/3 of all Israeli Jews being Arab Jews originally) and the Mullah regime of Iran since 1979 being run by Shia Arab clergy leadership who proudly claim and display their Arab origins and who try to act more Arab than Arab themselves and who are obsessed about Arab affairs 24/7. Now it makes sense why their leadership do not give a flying **** about some tiny landlocked Tajikistan or Afghanistan next door.
Now we can add the freaking Safavids to this list.
As I always wrote - Arabs are our own worst enemies.
