Agreed. G3 looks too well maintained to be in the hands of the average terrorist.

The remainder of the weapons are abysmal. I've seen caches of captured weapons and those are among the worst looking I've seen. Even that M-16A4 looks like crap. Noticed the butt stock and buffer tube have been separated from the lower.

As for that 12.7mm and the ammo; seriously?

those weapons have been destroyed by bomb fragments.. hence the abysmal state.. else bla mfer have good weapons.

Yup, definitely combination of direct hit, burning, followed by a couple days in the open and whatever scavengers are native to the region.

Judging from the rust, I'd say they don't know what oil are grease are used for. Then again, some of the AKs I've seen like that also ran just fine. Simple yet effective weapon designed for barely literate peoples.

I'm old school when it comes to weapons maintenance.

A few years back some of these BLA/Iranian types landed by boat from Iran onto a deserted stretch of coastline near Gawader. The idea was to shoot up Gawader, no doubt.
