This UAV was discovered with its recovery parachute deployed by a farmer in a field near Wagah in Pakistan’s Lahore District. It appeared to have sustained only minor damage. The location was close to the Indian border and it is possible that it was downed by Indian electronic warfare, but this is only speculation.

A Mirage 5 ROSE III fighter aircraft of the Pakistan Air Force, belonging to the 32nd Tactical Attack Wing's No. 27 'Zarrars' Squadron, has unfortunately crashed during a routine training sortie in Sargodha.

The pilot was able to successfully eject and is safe.

Anyways, here is a Mirage accident from yesterday, surprised not to see it anywhere in the forum.

T: Mirage 5EF ROSE III

The aircraft was destroyed when it crashed and caught fire in fields near 104 Chak, Sargodha, shortly after take-off from PAF Base Mushaf, Sargodha, for a routine training flight. The pilot ejected safely using a Martin-Baker PRM4 ejection seat but was injured. Martin-Baker stated that this brought the number of lives saved by its ejection seats to 7,798.

Following a technical fault on a routine training sortie from PAF Base Rafiqui, control of the aircraft was lost and it crashed in a field near Luddan Road, Ratta Tibba, Vehari. Both pilots ejected safely after steering away from populated areas and were recovered safely, having suffered minor injuries.
