“The jets have already been integrated into the arsenal of Azerbaijan’s Air Force,” Azerbaijan’s presidency said in a statement after President Ilham Aliyev was formally presented with the multirole aircraft at Heydar Aliyev International Airport on Wednesday, during a ceremony attended by Defence Minister Zakir Hasanov.

Not that the JF-17C contract haven’t already been confirmed officially by both Azerbaijan and Pakistan, but here is further confirmation.

Those numbers make no sense to me. I can’t imagine that Azerbaijani airforce wouldn’t even form a full squadron. When Mig-29s was bought in mid 2000s, it was 14 Mig-29s + 2 training UB variants. Of course, Azerbaijan’s military budget is now far larger ($5 billion for 2025).

When you look at other acquisitions, all follows equipping full divisions or brigades. T-90 was 100 + option for another 100. One full brigade is 94 tanks.

Or the artillery systems Azerbaijan is buying now: 72 Dita + 48 Nora B52, 4 + 3 divisions.

8 jets is not even a full squadron.

I’m talking about the supposed numbers written here from some twitter accounts. They talk about 8 jets + 4 training variants (Bravo as you said). Are there really even Bravo variants in the contract? Azerbaijani press release only mentions C variant.

Unless of course those Bravo variants have full combat capability on par with JF-17C? Mig-29UB for example has no real combat capability, only for training.

What I object is being silenced from replying to them, while they can write everything they wish. Last time I checked, this is not an Iranian forum (in which case I would not have bothered to even register, since you know what to expect).
