Azerbaijan Air Force Becomes Fourth Operator of JF-17 Fighter Aircraft, President Aliyev Confirms

Oh well! You probably know me all too well by now... it's actually a mixture of stubbornness, a very narrow understanding of fact & fiction and the almost masochistic fun of fighting with fanboys. ;) 😘
No it really is mostly about this - isn’t it?

However, I still think there needs to be education on people regarding the process of getting aircraft. Everything from realizing its not a car that you just turn on and drive - to the idea of how an airforce is a system if systems which needs a very in depth study of how each system, each tactic works when you add or remove components into that system of systems.

Aircraft cannot be left outside - hangars need to be made sure they can accommodate them, technicians need to know each and every part and whether they have all the tools necessary etc etc.

This isn’t something that is done in a day, or a week or in many cases years.

i know this is not the threat to ask but still for JFT, where are on orders from IRAQ? is it still in the pipeline?

I haven't really gone into all what has been going on in this Topic, however, here is a 'What if...' situation.

Lets say ... hypothetically ... PAF might of have sent a few of its own JF-17B (Dual Seaters) for Pilot Training.

Someone mentioned here that 08 are to be delivered during this calender year.

Is it possible that they want the Azerbaijan pilots to get upto speed on the Block III.

PAF knows that if Azerbaijan is pleased with the performance of the Block III, who is to know that they may place an additional order down the line.

Why is this thread so silent. Any new updates?

According to him, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has shown great interest in strengthening defense ties with Pakistan and has pledged to invest $2 billion in the country.

Tarar also confirmed that discussions regarding the investments are in their final stages, and the relevant agreements are expected to be signed during President Aliyev’s visit to Islamabad in April.

“The President of Azerbaijan has shown great enthusiasm for Pakistan’s defense industry and infrastructure development. The negotiations also covered the construction of highways and other major projects,” he stated.

Really? You are posting a report that uses this faked image? That alone tells you almost everything about its quality.

I think for a small country like Azerbaijan a smaller plane like JF-17 which is Gripen sized makes a lot of sense. Cheaper to service than MiG-29 which they currently operate.
