That is why I said it is PR. If there were such deals, they would have been in the public domain and if Turkmenistan were really investing 14 bn dollars in Gwadar, it would not be announced through a press release by the Balochistan government.
Balochistan cabinet just approved it, this project has long way to go. USA etc are actively working to expand LNG exports. Globally 5000 LNG cargos are sold. The $14bn terminal in Gwadar will at must sell 200 LNG cargos per year.
You think Turkmenistan will have trouble finding customers for 200 LNG cargos per year? Even bankrupt country like Pakistan import 100-120 cargos. I bet in 10 years Bangladesh alone will import 200 LNG cargos.
First thing they need is to restart TAP pipeline which is stuck at Herat because India is out and Pakistan will not buy all that extra gas. The only way out is exports of LNG.
