Balochistan Terrorism Watch

EDITORIAL: A pall has descended on Eid festivities. The Sunday suicide bombing in Quetta has left many grieving their loved ones at a time when others will be celebrating the bonds of faith and family. According to the official count, more than a dozen lives were snuffed out, and at least 20 people were left injured; later reports put the toll much higher.

Maimed bodies of women and children were seen being carted from the site on stretchers. One wonders what monstrous instinct compelled the perpetrators to commit such senseless violence. Officials and hospital sources later noted that the victims were mainly passengers of the ill-fated shuttle train, on their way to board the Peshawar-bound Jaffar Express, as well as pedestrians and residents living along the railway track where the bombing occurred. The Balochistan Liberation Army claimed the attack, cementing its credentials as a terrorist outfit that resorts to violence against defenceless victims.

For more than 20 years, the so-called authorities have failed to come up with any actionable solution. Sometimes I wonder is it incompetence, or do they just not care if soldiers/civilians die until someone important dies? We’ve seen it happen twice, right? Someone important dies, and suddenly we start bombing the TTP inside Afghanistan.

i don't have any hopes for this country anymore, if states doesn't gives fk why should i.

A actionable solution to try and bring economic investment and change to the state and KP

The people have to be peaceful and not blow shit up for things to change

Divide Balochistan now! 3 provinces divided between Brahvi, Baloch and Pashtuns. Sindhi areas of Makran can merge with Sindh.

I think once Baluchistan is divided into 3 states, it will be a lot easier to root out BLA and BRA, we can isolate them into certain areas, while other areas where there is little to no support for Terrorism can prosper.

Carrot and sticks. Too much carrots have hurt baloch stomach, now its time for sticks to release all that bloated gas.

As someone with only a cursory knowledge of Baloch tribal relations and outlay, this doesn't seem like the worst idea in the world? We still had princely states by the time of partition, and Balochistan itself is largely a British construct.

Giving specific ethnic/tribal groups a part of land where they feel more belonging than District XYZ where the guy who listens (if you're lucky) is 600 km away with poor communication sounds like a good idea. They are incentivized to stop miscreant activity in their area as well.

Would be interested to hear thoughts of those more familiar with these matters... @Irfan Baloch

You wish.
They are not sincere to Pakistan. More sincere to india 🇮🇳
Iranians lost their top leadership to Mossad/RAW terrorist networks operating right in Iran. How can they hand over BLA terrorists to Pakistan? Those brainless idiots in all likelihood don't even know how deep and wide Mossad/RAW have penetrated in Bloch population on both sides of the Pak-Iran border.

We haven't give them enough carrots but nothing justify terrorism, Baluch are incapable of ruling themselves, division of KPK and Baluchistan, creating more provinces will help but you still need a state that has zero tolerance for extremism and most importantly people needs to change.

u dont need to seperate a province to do that
Yes we do, Baluchistan if divided can be easy to administer, we have Baluch who are fighting but we can have areas where Baluch are not in majority, if the people in those areas wants development they will not support terrorists, govt can build projects there, but the most important factor of bringing peace in Pakistan lies with people changing their ways, for as long as B & P people won't change their violent culture nothing will change.
