Balochistan Terrorism Watch

how would you sustain it? with this falling economy.

Need to divert resources to security forces. Balochistan get Rs1200bn budget per year. Thats half of Pakistan army budget.

Balochistan govt need to reform along with all others. Delay some roads and permanent government jobs.

ROI if terrorism is contained will be far greater in the long run.

Interesting you mention this btw. 😊

BLA has released the video of Jeewani checkpost suicide attack. A female commander planned the whole thing. A dumper truck was filled with explosives to the brim. After suicide attack, BLA team ambushed the checkpost with RPG, snipers and small arms.
their handlers are following the Peshmarga example of using females as iconic and awe inspiring figures to appeal the viewers of social media

some quotes from the internet describe this trend as lust farming or galmourising violence.

" women are often presented as symbolic figures rather than merely fighters. They argue that images and videos of women in military dress, biographies of female attackers, and coordinated social media campaigns are designed to maximize emotional and psychological impact alongside the attacks themselves." re BLA waponizing the glamour

this is inntended to broaden the movement's appeal to modern social media audience and present a glamorous Peshmerga style image which will give a hard on to the (Indians pretending to be Baloch) on social media acconts.
moving up the female fighters from one off use as a sucide bombers as team members and team leaders is inline showing the women empowerment against the "oppresive Punjabi regime".

At this point in time we all know why and what they are doing.

There is a major problem on the Pakistani side. Complete lack of initiative and constantly on the defensive.

There's a much deeper structural problem in Pakistan which is why everything is dysfunctional, the country is suffering from elite capture from landlord families and no nationalist middle-class to take charge.

Try it will never work. You won't achieve much except a temporary respite at the expenses of loss of lives of our brave soldier.

This is an ambush, a guruilla warfare, and hunting down the assailant hiding in caves and mountains speard over miles and miles is nearly impossible. Pay heed to ISAF, a collision of 22 countries, who could not succeed despite all of their wherewithal.

I'm strongly of the view that nothing will work except that we fire back on their master India.

However, this is not a simple thing to do. In order to do it effectively we must do an effective diplomacy to counter almost certain Indian narrative that Pakistan's land is being used against him for terrorism. China, Russia and US all must be on board.

We know where that budget goes and the army budget is way more than stated.
Anyway, if we want to spend money, it shouldn't be on operations but on surveillance (communications and visual) and on QRF. We should be one dimension ahead of BRF/BLA. I heard even one sardar was paying BLA not to attack him.
Even if we have money, we cannot launch operations for ambush attacks all the time (but QRF). Otherwise, it will be a losing game (infinite vs finite) like Iran drones vs US THAAD, etc.
Or we can play at their scale:
@RescueRanger @Panzerkiel
Can we have active hunting parties (1 sniper+1 drone operator+2 infantry+1 communication) aided by bigger drones input to hunt BLA in remote areas? Like a UNO reverse!

This is the best it will get. The military class represent the best of Pakistani minds. It is what it is.

I am smoking something which can either give me a rush or kill me. I am serious about hitting few of the top tier. do it secret and discrrte with plausable deniability. hitting those smug bastards who are directing their brain dead pawns to fight for them while they enjoy French Caviar and wine in the west with the knowldge that they are safe and untouchable and have unlimited funds from those who share their hatred for state of Pakistan.
Just my 2cents regarding strikes in Afghanistan:

A lot of this will be dependent on how good Pakistan's intel gathering ability is and the quality of its precision strike capabilities. For what it's worth, the last high value target that i can recall being hit was Maulvi Faqir several years ago (the strike failed in that instance).
The last strikes in Afghanistan, to my knowledge, has not killed any high profile/ranking officials of TTP. Not saying they didn't kill TTP but that the quality of the strike (who they killed) weren't seemingly that high ranking. Plus, as far as precision goes, the more recent strikes shows that problem is still there. However, I have not followed closely w.r.t reports on those strikes so this is more of a rough estimation based on reports I've seen so I may well be wrong.

P.S There is also the strategic problem of airpower alone not being enough to stem insurgency activity. But I digress.
In the case of Balochistan, quite a bit of their higher ranking individuals reside in international countries like the UAE so.... that's another uncomfortable can of worms Pakistan will have to address but has seemingly ignored.
