QUETTA: A surge in terrorist attacks on the Quetta-Karachi National Highway has sparked widespread fear among commuters and residents, while goods transporters have announced restrictions on the movement of trucks and containers along the route due to growing security concerns.
The development has added to the difficulties faced by passengers, traders, and businesses dependent on the highway.
Over the past several days, a series of deadly attacks has raised serious concerns over the deteriorating law and order situation. In the latest incident, unidentified gunmen opened fire on a passenger coach travelling from Quetta to Karachi near Khad Kocha, killing four passengers and injuring four others. In a separate attack near Surab, a passenger coach travelling from Turbat to Quetta came under fire, leaving a woman seriously injured.
Earlier, two women travelling with their family from Zhob to Karachi for medical treatment were killed when their vehicle was attacked near Kalat. On Thursday, terrorists targeted the vehicle of District and Sessions Judge Abdul Hakeem Kakar near Mastung, killing him and his security guard, while Additional Sessions Judge Tariq Lashari sustained serious injuries.

According to reports, a clash took place yesterday between Pakistani security forces and FAH terrorists in the Gumazi area. The reports claim that several terrorists were killed, while one injured terrorist identified as Rahim alias Ajiz reportedly died near the Pakistan-Iran border while being transported to Iran.
In a separate report, another clash was reported along the Pakistan-Iran border, where four more terrorists were killed and one injured. Two of those killed were from Mand, while the other two belonged to the Mari tribe. The injured terrorist was identified as a member of the Askani tribe.

Pakistani security forces eliminated more FAH terrorists during a successful operation in Khad Kucha, Mastung, bringing the death toll in Operation Al-Azm to 13. According to reports, multiple militant hideouts were destroyed, and security forces recovered weapons, explosives, and materials used to manufacture improvised explosive devices (IEDs).

Yesterday we have a massive attack in KP where many soldiers and civilians were martyred. TTP claimed the respinsibility. There is no mention anywhere in media nor here or anywhere, just saw aljazeera covering it.

Security forces have killed three more terrorists in an ongoing intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the Khad Kocha area of Balochistan’s Mastung district, state-run Radio Pakistan reported on Saturday, citing security sources.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, in a statement commending the security forces, also confirmed the development. The security operation, conducted under an indefinite curfew, was launched after a shooting on a Karachi-bound coach coming from Quetta claimed three lives and injured five others on Wednesday.
On Saturday, Radio Pakistan quoted security sources as saying that “Fitna al-Hindustan has suffered further losses” in the IBO, which has been dubbed Operation Al-Azm.
The government uses the term “Fitna al-Hindustan” for Balochistan-based groups to highlight India’s alleged role in terrorism and destabilisation across Pakistan.
“The number of terrorists killed so far during Operation Al-Azm has reached 13,” Radio Pakistan reported. Six of these had been killed on Thursday and another four were eliminated a day ago.

Every Sardar does that. They use state resources and patronage to eliminate rival sardars. That is why a sardar, DPO, SP, etc of a tribe is not seen as friendly by locals of another tribe. Similarly, they are not transferred to other areas as they are not seen as impartial. That, in turn, makes them entrenched in that local area and a lackey of that sardar.
