8 India-sponsored terrorists killed in Quetta, Khuzdar, Nushki districts: ISPR​

Security forces have killed eight “India-sponsored” terrorists during three intelligence-based operations conducted in the Quetta, Nushki and Khuzdar districts of Balochistan, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Sunday.

The IBOs took place on Oct 17 (Saturday) on the “reported presence of terrorists belonging to Indian proxy Fitna al Hindustan”, the military’s media affairs wing said in its press release.

The state has designated Balochistan-based groups as Fitna al Hindustan to highlight India’s role in terrorism and destabilisation across Pakistan.

In the Panjpai area of Quetta district, terrorists’ attempt to establish a roadblock to disrupt local traffic was “intercepted by security forces, resulting in [the] killing of five India-sponsored terrorists”.

Separately, during a sanitisation operation in Nushki district, security forces busted a terrorist hideout and “after an intense fire exchange, two India-sponsored terrorists were sent to hell”. Weapons and ammunition were also recovered, ISPR added.

In another IBO in Khuzdar, a terrorist hideout was “engaged by security forces through prompt offensive action”, killing one terrorist. ISPR said a large quantity of explosives (490 kilogrammes) was also recovered.

Army major martyred, 4 terrorists killed in Balochistan IBOs: ISPR​

An army major was martyred and four terrorists were killed during intelligence-based operations in Balochistan, the military’s media wing said on Monday.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement that security forces conducted a series of operations in areas of Shadi Kaur and Pasni in Gwadar, and Jattakabad in Kalat district, on the reported presence of multiple hideouts of Fitna al Hindustan.

The state has designated Balochistan-based groups as Fitna al Hindustan to highlight India’s role in terrorism and destabilisation across Pakistan.

In the first operation on October 18, security forces conducted an IBO in the general area of Jattakabad, during which four terrorists were eliminated.

“A large cache of arms and ammunition was also recovered,” it added.

In the second operation, ISPR added that security forces conducted a series of clearance operations in the general area of Shadi Kaur, Pasni, in Gwadar.

It added that 34-year-old Major Wajahat Waheed, a Lahore resident who was leading the operation, was martyred in an improvised explosive device (IED) attack.

Based on confirmed intelligence, a sanitization operation was conducted by security forces from 15 to 18 October in the areas of Wam Tangi and Peeri near Ziarat against the presence of terrorists from Fitna al-Hindustan.

Security forces, through effective actions, sent 4 terrorists to hell in the first phase and an additional 2 in the final phase.

Additionally, reports indicate that 11 terrorists were severely injured. During the operations, multiple terrorist hideouts and ambush sites were destroyed, while 8 IEDs, a large quantity of weapons and ammunition, 2 motorcycles and 2 vehicles used by the terrorists were recovered.
