Bangladesh has strongly condemned the violation of sovereignty in several Gulf Arab countries, including Bahrain, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates, following the recent attacks by the United States and Israel on Iran, and retaliatory strikes on US bases in the region.

The government also expressed deep concerns regarding the safety and security of Bangladeshi nationals residing in Iran amid the ongoing conflict, according to a press release issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Dhaka.

The statement came hours after Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was killed on early Sunday in a massive US and Israeli attack that extended into a second day Sunday, as the two powers seek to topple the Islamic republic.

‘In the wake of attacks on Iran, Bangladesh continues to be deeply concerned at the safety and security of Bangladeshi nationals residing in this country,’ said the release.

‘Bangladesh also condemns the violation of sovereignty of some countries of the region, including Bahrain, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates,’ it mentioned.

Bangladesh warns that the continuation of hostilities will only endanger regional peace, stability, and the wellbeing of civilian populations. It calls upon all concerned parties to exercise maximum restraint and return to diplomacy to resolve the differences.

Bangladesh hopes that calm will prevail at the earliest and peace, security, and stability will be restored soonest across the region.

As a Bangladeshi, id like to say #### the Bangladeshi goevrnment and #### the foreign ministry and #### Bangladesh itself.
Bangladeshi state machinery is yet to graduate from it's "small country" mindset despite representing the 8th largest population.
The MoFA statement reveals that they are consumed by the fear of losing remittance and exports. Such intricacies always remain for every country - finding the spine to at least condemn Israeli agression and loss of lives in Iran would not have hurt us much.

Bangladesh and Pakistan are legitimately concerned that the Gulfies may copy the approach of their Israeli masters postwar and only bring in Indian workers. Hence Bangladesh and Pakistan have to walk a tightrope.

@Watandar sb

the Gulfies may copy the approach of their Israeli masters postwar and only bring in Indian workers.

This is actually a sensible approach.

#Many Pakistanis and BDs, since they are Muslims, may believe that should be at par with native Arab Muslim citizens. The same is not the case with Indians, especially Hindus. They know that they will never be at par with locals.
#Pakistanis are generally very virile and self-respecting people, they won't take insults lying down. Indians by contrast are very meek and docile people. They will just bob their heads and carry on with their work.
#There is a possibility that some (not all) Pak and BD Muslims maybe radicalised, which is not the case with Indians.

Regards

Dont post things that are off topic.

You can see deleted posts so I am assuming you read those. My initial post asking how many Bangladeshis are in Iran should be restored.

what about this ?

The government of Bangladesh has no choice but to do lip service for GCC if it wants to ensure GCC keeps taking migrant workers from Bangladesh. Remittance is a huge part of our economy. If they side with Iran openly, Gulfies will ban BD and start taking workers from India. Poor countries doesn't have the luxury of speaking their mind unfortunately.

People of Bangladesh on the other hand are fully rooting for Iran. Even those living in Middle East. Many of the videos of Iran missile were uploaded by Bangladeshi migrants living in GCC and you can hear them cheering and hoping for a hit in Bengali.

Attacking Gulfie Arabs are not a smart plan if you want to get the support from subcon. Cuz majority of the migrants in those regions (including from India) are Muslims and with each missile landing on some residential area there's a high chance a migrant will die.
