Unsure why this is even a debate.

1) India does not need to invade BD
2) India does not want to invade BD
3) India can effectively Blockade all of BD within one hour, both from the air by simply stationing a S-400 unit nearby and at Sea with it's Eastern Command.
4) see how long BD economy survives with it's only access to the outside world being a donkey trail form the Myanamar Jungle....

As I said, I agree with most of the above.

Main issue BD has with India is India’s insistence on using BD as a security buffer. Often against its core interests.

Most Bangladeshis would agree that Bangladesh should not harbour separatists and terrorists. Also, supporting and collaborating with India on international forums like UN and WHO.

It gets very contentious when India wants to veto China getting the contracts to build defence facilities and Teesta barrage.

Bangladesh needs a deterrence against a future Indian government lashing out on the borders in revenge. E.g. trying to push Bengali Muslims into BD.

This is also true for Pakistan. India can impose a naval blockade on Pakistan and crash its economy.

S400 can also impose no fly zone on most of Pakistan.

I don't see Pakistan launching nukes in response to conventional blockade. Remember, so far it hasn't won a single war with India. That doesn't stop it from modernising it's armed forces.

Naval blockades are an act of war. It will definitely invite a conventional response from Pakistan, possibly could escalate to nuclear level. Moreover, its not like PN would be on holiday. Even before IN could lay a blockade the engagements between the two navies would effectively turn the littoral Arabian sea a no-go zone and hinder Indian trade to and from the Middle East as well.

Pakistan has invested so much into defence and combined with its geography and alliance with China - India will never win a war with Pakistan.

Pakistan has the capacity to send India into the dark ages without touching nuclear bombs.

Plus, Pakistan’s population is mentally prepared to take an economic hit compared to India.

India has much more to lose economically.

Prolonged war and all those IT jobs will go back onshore!

"could probably"- in terms of military capabilities, Myanmar is far clear. I dont know of, nor am interested in the political situations in the region.

That is a ridiculous reply. War are inherently political. A country that is demonstratably unable to control most of its own territories, could NOT probably annex a country that is 3 time bigger in terms of population.

Given you have raised mod issues - I have a right of reply.

Trying to deny there is active bias in some mods - is not honest.

I have reported name calling and grotesque swearing by some posters repeatedly - nothing happens!

Same mods, magically have time to remove and edit stuff that hurts their ego.

On balance PDF is excellently moderated - hence why most of us are still here.
