Still trolling us
Doubt they are actually interested
Though logically they only have two options jf17 and j10s
Jf17 may be cheaper fits perfectly with geography and has ample of training and support option available from Pakistan but...nah, they are still stuck in 1971, 1940s and 1800s etc
20–24 J-10CEs are likely to replace the Bangladesh Air Force's top-tier fighter fleet, namely the MiG-29s. As for the Eurofighter procurement discussion, I am not convinced that the Eurofighter Typhoon and the J-10C would complement each other effectively. Both aircraft occupy a broadly similar role in terms of air superiority and multirole capabilities. Given that the J-10C is a newer platform with a more modern avionics suite and would offer greater commonality with existing Chinese systems, I suspect the BAF may ultimately prefer additional J-10CEs over acquiring second-hand Eurofighter Typhoons.
The JF-17, meanwhile, could gradually replace the aging F-7 fleet, which has long served as the lightweight workhorse and numerical backbone of the BAF. A force structure centered around the JF-17 and J-10C would provide a balanced high-low mix while also enhancing interoperability across Chinese-origin platforms.
Such a fleet could open the door for more advanced multidomain operations, particularly if the BAF proceeds with the acquisition of force multipliers such as the KJ-500 AEW&C aircraft. The combination of modern fighters, airborne early warning assets, and network-centric warfare capabilities would significantly improve situational awareness, command-and-control, and beyond-visual-range engagement potential.
That said, this is merely my personal assessment based on publicly available information. There is nothing concrete to suggest that the BAF has made a final decision, and procurement plans can change significantly due to operational, financial, and political conside
rations.
