Bangladesh Naval institutions and ships previously named after former prime minister Sheikh Hasina, her family members, and individuals associated with her government, have been changed.

BNS Bangabandhu has been renamed BNS Khalid Bin Walid.

BNS Sheikh Mujib is now BNS Dhaka.

BNS Sheikh Hasina has been renamed BNS Pekua.

alhamdulillah, i believe in the old naval tradition that changing names of a ship is bad luck so glad to see it changed to its original name.
