I always wondered what happened to army's contract with Turkish Repkon to provide automated 105mm and 155mm artillery shells production line. The contract was signed in 2021 and confirmed by Turkish ambassador back then. 5 years has passed since than and I almost gave up on that, but now I am hearing finally they might start operating those production lines at Gazipur BOF facility. (Good news) However I was under the impression those Production line will be stablish at a new second facility. But, it is likely that new land+facility alocated for second BOF plant at Chittagong will incorporate 7x new production lines through ToT for various ammunitions and critical sub-components that was posted few pages earlier.

It appears BOF may have started to manufacture standard 155mm shells in house for the first time in limited numbers.

Bureaucracy my friend.

To put things in perspective, medium to large utility vehicles originating from China & Japan was waiting for years to get road permit and licence plate from BRTA.

OTH this was a project that had strategic implications for our neighbour.
