This surprised me. I didn't think he would come to Bd.

He along with other Pakistani and Indian Ulema delivered their speeches in Urdu in in front of a massive crowd- another sign BD is free.
 

PIA, Biman airlines ink ‘landmark’ cargo deal​

National carrier Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) and Bangladeshi carrier Biman Airlines on Monday signed a “landmark” deal to streamline the movement of air cargo between the two countries.

According to a statement from a PIA spokesperson, the deal will be effective from December 1 this year. Under the agreement, the major Saudi cities of Jeddah, Medina and Riyadh would be used as transit gateways.

“This partnership will establish a strategic corridor for regional trade,” the statement read. “The agreement will reduce the logistical complexities in the transportation of valuable commodities such as textiles, pharmaceuticals and agricultural products.

“Through the extensive networks of the national airlines of both countries, quality and cost-effective cargo solutions will be provided,” the statement added.

On October 4, PIA announced that it would resume flights to the United Kingdom from October 25, with nonstop flights from Manchester to Islamabad.

The day prior, the Pakistan High Commission in London announced that the national carrier would resume flight operations to the UK as PIA received its Foreign Aircraft Operating Permit from the UK Civil Aviation Authority and Third Country Operator approval.

How many people in Bangladesh understand Urdu ?

General educated class can understand asan urdu but can't speak with proper lehja and that's due to lack of practice.

Only people can speak/read/write proper Urdu are those study in Madrasa line.

BTW, people in old Dhaka and Syed poor can speak urdu.

Nobody in madrasas are taught urdu anymore, it's just English, Arabic and Bangla.
Due to awami league propaganda, a lot of people forget, islamists in bangladesh all hate pakistan since Pervez mosharrof (not giving my own opinion here).
Actual pro pakistan people in Bangladesh are secular people who just like the pan south asian Muslim identity.

Maybe Aalia and state funded Madrasa but Qomi Madrsa still use Urdu and Farsi. BTW, they need these two languages for higher Islamic education. I know for fact.

Sadly, Mughal, Bengal Sultanate and Pakistan movement has been erased from educational system. Everything has become 71 centric and Mujib.

MA Jinnah has been portrayed as negative character and Bengali hater because he supported Urdu as national language of Pakistan.

Falsafa e Iqbal (urdu/Farsi) is only practice by Islamic scholars and some academician. I believe Iqbal is popular among the student of Islamic studies and his work is thought in Dhaka university.

Now, that we are free from Indian influence, I believe we will reinstate and reconnect with our extended Islamic hermitage gradually. We need to own all Islamic personalities in sub-continent. They were us, and we are them. We are here because of them

I already see the sign of soul searching and reconnect to our root. Dhaka university recently held discussion on "The philosophy of renaissance in the thoughts of Allama Iqbal and Kazi Nazrul Islam".

As you can see, I'm a big jinnah fan (hate allama though)
Jinnah used to be taught about before 2006.
The mujib cult worship became ridiculous.
