Bangladesh Socio-Political Crisis 2024 and onwards

The only way next government will be in power is through a fair election with
people's mandate.

But you can lol lol around as much as you wish.

I agree on the “people’s mandate bit”.

And they will give it to a party that doesn’t actively antagonise India. Or entertain Islamist clap trap.

What the heck actually BNP is actually getting at?

"Lesson of the history is that no one learns from history".

Looks like some BNP wala didn't get the message.

TZ better sack likes of Rizvi and Faqrul before it's too late.

It won't be walk in the park for BNP in next election.

Hmm so BNP is now lashing out at Jamat… Did i read correct?
Werent they best buddies until recently?

Whats goin on

The BNP sees the specter of 1/11 again in which the Jamaat played an important role and included civil society personalities like Asif Nazrul, Adiur Rahman Khan, Mahmudur Rahman, Farhad Mazhar, Barrister Abdur Razzak, Shah Abdul Hannan and now include new faces like Tajul Islam, the AB Party, Md. Asaduzzaman and some student movement leaders.

One of the best investigative videos by Ilyas Hossain on the August 21st grenade attack on an Awami League rally. His conclusions are very similar to what was written 14 years ago in the book The India Doctrine concerning the August 21st attack and conspiracy ...

By working against Jamaat, BNP is losing the plot. They must not forget the amount of effort Jamaat had put in to oust Hasina. The very first martyr Abu Sayid was active Shibir member for instance. Both parties need to realize the real enemy is BAL.

But BNP is completely isolating Jamaat and taking the same stance that BaL had taken for decades. This is nothing short of betrayal.

I think the BNP is under the impression that the Jamaat is betraying them by jumping on the 1/11 redux bandwagon ...

But if you think back, Jamaat got the absolute worst of the BaL regime, with their entire leadership wiped out and pushed lower level leaders into underground for over a decade. That should absolve their sins and that should be the common ground for both to work together to counter BaL and Indian aggression.

And therein lies the problem. Despite following the American agenda during 1/11 that ultimately resulted in the execution of their top leaders and incarceration and torture of thousands of their activists and supporters during the Hasina regime the Jamaat appears again to be following the same American agenda and they have been doing this consistently since 1971.

As with 1/11 there is no guarantee that the Americans can hold things together and prevent another Indian backlash. It was Americans failure to restrain the Indians that led to the Jamaat being almost wiped out during the Hasina regime and which was effectively a betrayal and the Americans did nothing for more than a decade to protest what the Indians were doing. It is also certainly possible that the Americans wanted the old Jamaat leadership out of the way as they were a political liability due to their role in 1971. I have also heard that the Americans sought to prevent military action during the BDR mutiny so as not to destabilize the newly installed Awami League government in 2009.

It is for this reason that the Jamaat are again gambling that the Americans will somehow be able to install them in power and undermine the BNP with the introduction of new entities such as the AB Party and some others and a new 'Kings Party' that the BNP are disgusted with the Jamaat.

Some of the recent statements of Mahmudur Rahman, Tajul Islam, Asif Nazrul, Md. Asaduzzaman indicate that 1/11 is again in full swing.

Jamat dosent have the massive voter base that BNP have. Thats why BNP is trying to marginalizing Jamat, because it would provide BNP more clout in an eventual future coalition government.

Who knows. Maybe BNP wish and thinks it can rule alone without support from Jamat delegation in the Parliament.
