I know but it used to be part of Tibet along with Amdo. There are 3 provinces of old Tibet UTsang, Amdo, and Kham Now Aba is part of Kham after the 1950's they abolished Kham and Amdo because it was under the direct control of the military and they implemented the land reform distributing land owner land to the tenant farmer That causes the Rebellion. Kham is now part of western Sichuan, Yunan! and Amdo has become Qinghai!
