BREAKING : Cargo plane overshoots runway at Miami International Airport

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) says that the incident occurred when a flight "overran the runway after landing" around 14:00 local time (19:00 GMT) on Sunday.

The Boeing 767-300 cargo aircraft crashed at the Miami-Dade International airport after departing from Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

The statement from the US authority says the "information is preliminary".

The plane overran Runway 30, struck multiple vehicles and came to rest at a field next to the airport.

Since I last checked, five people dead, and more in critical condition.

Did a little research on the operator of the aircraft; 21 Air, LLC. An all-cargo virtual airline operating under the certificate of Dynamic Airways. In addition to flying aircraft for Amazon, they also operate for my employer.

And, at the moment, other than the main page of their website, everything else has gone "404".

damn, that's terrible and scary, i notice in past few years lots of aviation related incidents happen in US, wonder if there is a need to regulate or do something, some kind of investigations are in pipeline? RIP to the dead, and hope the injured recover soon.

Since the airframe is relatively intact, investigators likely have their hands on the black boxes already. Interviews with the flight crew will help. I suspect there will be an initial report within a few days.

I wonder how old the aircraft was. It was a converted 767-300 ER.
