Truly shocking once you see this breakdown, the arrogance and disregard the captain showed was unbelievable.

His flying career is over now and he should go to jail imho..

21 Air is a virtual airline operating under the license of another carrier. At the very minimum, I see this happening:

1. 21 Air ceases to exist
2. The license holder they were operating under will be sued
3. Amazon will be sued
4. Boeing will likely be sued
5. The flying careers of both pilots are obviously over

Point 5 is interesting. What happens to pilots involved in accidents like this ? Is their career truly over or they can slowly claw their way back ?

That's a dumb comment, especially coming from you.

I've been on a number of flights where at least one member of the flight crew was female or the OIC was female.

A lot of it will be determined by the final NTSB report. If there was a disregard for safety and proper flight protocol, their career is definitely over. Especially the captain's if he was in control of the aircraft.

No other airline is going to want to take that chance. They will be relegated to flying for some bush airline in Africa.

Overconfidence and complacency are the likely culprits in this incident. The Captain being super experienced has probably pulled off these types of dangerous landings in the past but could not this time.

I read some of the comments in that post. Irrelevant the captain was a former helicopter pilot. One one of my flights back from ORD, I happened to speak with the flight crew for my flight. The FO was a former Marine helicopter pilot as well as several other aircraft types prior to going commercial. A stick is a stick.

That runway is 9300' long. He was way down the runway before the landing gear made contact. That should have been a go-around IMO. Then again, I'm also not a pilot.

The co-pilot isn't wrong. Especially when the cargo he's carrying breathes.

What hasn't been disclosed yet is who was actually in control of the flight controls and who was speaking during the approach and landing.

Since the 2 idiots/pilots are alive, the NTSB can easily determine that.

These 2 deserve some good jail time for this 'deliberate' disregard for the rules/protocols/safety. I'm surprised by the ATC not instructing them for a go around if they were actively monitoring the landing flights.

Reminds me exactly of the PK8303 crash.....same type idiotics here as well.

Coming in high and hot, and messed the landing.
