Not at all/impossible my best guesstimate is 300-450 J-20 is enough, it lot more expensive to purchase/maintain/operate and logistic is more complex than any other4th gen jets and PLAAF has also plan to buy hundreds of J-35A, so China don't need such a huge numbers of J-20

In order to replace China's thousands of J-7/J-8 aircraft, thousands of J-10/J-11 aircraft were produced. The J-20 was only put into service in 2017, the J-10 was put into service in 2008, and the J-11 was put into service in 2001.
