When was the last time a bigwig mafioso was released on bail the next day?

These young criminal recruits are just pawns and minions and the police arrest them knowing they will be relased? Why not go after the real criminals pulling the strings? The cops don't do any of that serious police work because they don't want to.

I dont think we have big crime families like in the God Father movies....Yes there are criminal families and mafioso but almost all the shootings and armed robberies are done by street level gangs. I remember when Malvern Crew and their rivals were taken down in the area where my clinic was located. Funny enough I treated some of the kids who were arrested. The gang leaders also lived in the neighbourhood and I went to school with some and as far as I know are still in jail. Their downfall started when they shot two innocent black motorist thinking they were rival gang members. It made headline and we had a huge police sweep and both gangs were dismantled or dispersed....

Yes we do. They may not live in Canada permanently but they are very much here.

Most of the mafias/criminal gangs use the Native/First Nations territories for smuggling guns/drugs/goods and other criminal activity when they are not using the ports. The police know all about it and do nothing, and those same guns/drugs are sold to the lower level gangs. Those gang leaders are stil low level operators for the higher ups and are no different from the 14 year old criminals other than being older in age. They are just as dumb and stupid and as naive as the 14 year old pawns.
