"In Türkiye, the rise of the defense industry is spectacular"

Marc Chassillan and General Patrice Moyeuvre, two arms experts and experts on the country, are calling for a resumption of industrial cooperation with the country.

En Turquie, la montée en puissance de l’industrie de défense est spectaculaire

Reprise de la coopération industrielle 😆 Damn, you have to pay for it...

In twelve years, Turkish industry has developed five different models of MALE drones, all of which are now in service and widely exported. The current French stance deprives our companies not only of development opportunities, but also of medium- and long-term industrial positions, thus leaving the field open to our close neighbors. It is undoubtedly time to rethink our relationship with this ally, which has become an increasingly essential heavyweight.

lol, the Greeks are not going to be happy with this sort of thinking developing amongst the French. As Turkey grows it becomes more an more valuable to Europe as a partner, as they would rather a partner than a foe, especially with Russia currently pushing them to the limit in Ukraine.

Though to be honest I don't really know of anything that France has to offer to Turkey, defense industry wise. Turkey can more or less build whatever France has on its own, except for Nuclear Propulsion, which I don't think the French would be willing to share.

That's a great translation of the quote 😂 😂 😂

By the way, isn't it time you guys introduced a new series of Lira?

My favorite series is this:

I could only laugh at lira sadly 😆
I remember back in 2003 a friend of mine went to the City,I was thinking of going with him,but ended up not going. Anyway,I remember him telling me about paying for stuff,it was back then with the crazy inflation and he kept adding hundreds of thousands of lira here and there. Then when my mom travelled with a group as well in the 2010s,she kept me some banknotes(like I asked)and they were a nice a mount of money. In the 2020s I checked and the same amount was peanuts.

Also Türkiye has become way too expensive, in protest and for a better offer Turkish people are flocking to Greece since two years.

"The turquoise waters and cozy towns of the Greek Aegean island of Lesbos are luring Turkish tourists, who get on well with their hosts. But can tourism improve the fraught relations between the two countries?"

Germans have to put "fraught" somewhere there 😆

Man,some years ago everyone used to go to Turkey for tourism because of the low prices. Russians,Ukrainians,Germans, everyone. I remember the prices were so low, people would go to Turkey instead of Greece. But now it's more expensive and everyone is back here. Although I think a lot of Russians and Ukrainians still go to Turkey.

By the way,did you know Turkish tourism spots play on Greek TV?

I didn't, can you post any?
I've been trying to find the specific ones, but I can't. The one this year was "Istanbul vibes" or something with a very catchy music and some chicks going here and there.

The Israel-based news outlet i24, in its report titled "Turkey's unprecedented arms race: How much does it endanger Israel?", highlighted Turkey's comprehensive transformation in its defense industry in recent years. Experts speaking to the channel stated that this development could alter the balance of power in the Middle East.
