Colonel General Karim Valiyev, First Deputy Minister of Defence and Chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijan Army, called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi, Radio Pakistan reported on Wednesday.

During the meeting, both sides discussed matters of mutual interest, with a particular emphasis on the evolving global and regional security environment. The two leaders expressed a shared commitment to bolstering defence cooperation and fostering joint efforts aimed at promoting regional peace and stability.

Field Marshal Munir reaffirmed Pakistan’s fraternal ties with Azerbaijan and reiterated the resolve to further strengthen bilateral military and diplomatic relations.

He congratulated the visiting dignitary on the successful conclusion of the peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia, terming it a positive development for the region.

Azeris need larger hats

Si estuvieran en España, recibirían un castigo por su corrupción tan severo que hasta sus siete generaciones huirían de reconocerlos como padre, abuelo o familiar. ¡Gilipollas, todos!

Agree; its unfortunate these assholes can flee any accountability.

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Asim Munir has personally dismissed speculation about changes in the presidency and premiership as the work of elements conspiring against the ruling setup, in remarks quoted on Saturday by a local newspaper.

Suhail Warraich, senior editor for the Daily Jang newspaper, wrote today that the army chief had spoken to him in person on the matter during a recent meeting between the two in Brussels. Field Marshal Munir had stopped over in Belgium on his return from last week’s visit to the United States.

“The talk started with politics, especially on rumours that there is some effort to change the president of Pakistan as well as the prime minister. Field Marshal Munir clearly said, during both the Brussels gathering and in his two-hour discussion with me, that the rumours about a change were completely false,” the column said.

“When informed that this ‘news’ had been circulated by both civil and military agencies, he [Field Marshal Munir] said this could not be possible. ‘In fact, there are elements behind this who oppose both the government and the authorities and wish to create political anarchy,’” the army chief was quoted as saying.

Last month, speculation was rampant that President Asif Ali Zardari may soon step down, potentially paving the way for the army chief to assume the country’s presidency. The reports on social media had claimed that work was underway to replace the current parliamentary system with a presidential form of government. Some reports had also claimed that President Zardari had set one condition for his exit — a key role for his son Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari in the new dispensation.

The rumours were summarily addressed and rubbished by Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi twice and by military spokesperson Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry as “nonsense”.

Field Marshal Munir was also reported as saying on stage at the Brussels gathering that: “God has made me protector of the country. I do not desire any position other than that.”

The army chief praised the prime minister and his 18-hour work streak, the federal cabinet and the government, especially their “determination and courage” during the May conflict with India.

“On a question about politics, he [the army chief] said that political reconciliation is possible only if there is a sincere apology,” the column read. Although it does not specify who the army chief was referring to or who the question was about, it can be inferred that he may have been referring to the PTI and its incarcerated leader.

The military considers the PTI the “planners and architects” of the May 9 riots and in May 2024, demanded an apology from Imran Khan, who in turn claimed that the army owes an apology to him since he was “abducted” by the Rangers on May 9. However, days later, he offered to apologise on the condition that the involvement of PTI supporters in the violent protests was proved through CCTV evidence. Scores of PTI leaders have recently been convicted in cases over the riots and disqualified.

On foreign relations, the army chief was said to have expressed confidence in maintaining equilibrium between the US and China. “We will not sacrifice one friend for the other,” Field Marshal Munir was quoted as saying.

The army chief also described US President Donald Trump’s efforts for peace as “genuine”, and said Pakistan had taken the lead in nominating him for the Nobel Peace Prize, which was then followed by other nations.

The column further said the army chief had warned India against destabilising Pakistan’s peace through the use of “proxies”, and also cautioned Afghanistan against “pushing the Taliban into Pakistan”, or it would be met with a response.

“He said that we have shown kindness and favours to Afghans for years, but instead of repaying them, a conspiracy is being hatched against us in collaboration with India,” the column read.

The audacity he can say that, is itself worrying.
Anyway, nobody is talking about flood situation in KPK

The War against Civilian rule has been going on since 1952 when Civilians first tried to setup constitution

Jinnah's Pakistan actually never fully developed, we don't know who advised him to move to Balochistan instead of Islamabad or Maree

1948-1952 :
Argument was made , that due to India-Pakistan war , the time is not ideal for Constitution, corrupt judges played a part to not allow civilians to succeed
  • Colonial rule got a "Extension" behind the scene
    • Mohammad Ali Jinnah got side stepped to Balochistan desert
    • Fatima Jinnah was advised to maintain Silence after death of Mohammad Ali Jinnah.
    • Liaqat Ali Khan , got assassinated by "Unknown" for unknown reason

The "Temporary" setup kicked out the actual Leaders

1965:
Argument was made India-Pakistan war , need a strong army man to lead
Fatima Jinnah , most popular leader in Pakistan , lost election (rigged)
Conditions were created to put Ayub Khan (Military Guy) in charge as a Civilian Leader

1971 :
A follower of Fatima Jinnah , Bangali politician Mujeeb not allowed to form Government even after winning election , allegation made , Mujeeb wanted peace with India. Or he leaned towards more people to people contact with India

Civil War , East Pakistan lost

1977:
Zia came to power as Bhutto was not fit to lead country and he caused chaos by not allowing Bangali politician to form government. Benazir exiled
  • Pakistan had a stable currency
  • But no real investment , or financial strength like they had in 60s
  • Rise of Bombings in Karachi impacting our Trade Port

1990's -1999
Both Benazir /Nawaz Sharif came and went , eventually Musharraf came to power, PPP and PML bankrupted Pakistan
  • Debt Rose

1999-2007
A relatively good period economically but bad in term of terrorism
Economically Debt went down
Musharraf did good work in extreme circumstances

2007 -2018
Musharraf Government toppled after Benazir Assassination
  • Zardari Government came , Debt Rose
    • Gas Supply collapse
    • Oil shortages
    • Electricity Shortages
  • Nawaz Sharif Government came Debt Rose
    • Wiki Leaks fiasco
    • High interest Loans taken
    • Bogus energy deals , with no production of Electricity

2022
Bajwa issue prior to retirement destabilized Pakistan

Imran stable Government Toppled with illegal mechanism
  • Vote manipulation
  • Blackmail of political voters
  • Enticement with money for anti vote
  • Various mechanism to prevent illegal vote broken behind scene
  • Internal players inside Pakistan played a role to topple government by facilitating actions against Pakistan's Government
Election commissioner played a role with Courts to destabilized Pakistan

2025

Hafiz Muneer issue prior to retirement, this issue exist because original retirement format was not followed
  • Elections Rigged stolen from PTI
  • Human Right violations
  • Uncertain times
  • Financial Break down looming
  • Political victims in Prisons

Summary:

1- Pakistan's Civilian Order has always faced a constant struggle with Constitution which favours "The Civilian Population"

2- Repeat of financial bankruptcy or near bankruptcy by PPP and PML-N
30 years of failure

3-Struggle of Army Head to leave at Designated Retirement time
  • Every 10 years the story repeats, names chance story is always same , "For Power"

4- Role of Corrupt Judges to Destabilize Pakistan

5- Recent wave of destabilization, Corrupt Police involved in heinous acts

Pakistani are being forced to evaluate key moments in our history
and for wise people the pattern emerges which is all the above items in Summary

To me at High level I can see certain sticking points that stick out like a pimple of a teenager's face

The whole world knows that Pakistan is ruled by a Hybrid government with the mil-establishment pulling all the strings. And he is absolutely right when he says there is no change in national leadership

Good news for my Pakistani friends- @RajaBaja @r3alist @Fatman17 @Pakistan Space Agency @hydrabadi_arab

Pakistan’s Army Chief Asim Munir has said the country possesses a “rare earth treasure” that could ease its debt burden and elevate it among prosperous nations, ANI reported citing Pakistan-based media.

His remarks come at a time when rare earths have become central to global supply chain strategies, with China deploying them as a tool of economic leverage and the United States, India, and others scrambling to diversify access.

In an interaction published by Jang media, Munir said, “Pakistan has a rare earth treasure; with this treasure, Pakistan's debt will also be reduced, and Pakistan will soon be counted among the most prosperous societies.”

He pointed specifically to the Reko Diq mining project in Balochistan, predicting that from next year Pakistan could earn at least $2 billion annually, with profits expected to rise year after year.

China accounts for the bulk of global rare earth mining and nearly all refining capacity. Over the past year, Beijing has tightened export controls on minerals and high-performance magnets crucial for electric vehicles, defence systems and electronics.

In early 2025, it placed restrictions on shipments to the United States, forcing Washington into a temporary tariff truce. While some export curbs were relaxed, military-grade materials remain under control, leaving global industries wary.

As for India, which imports over 70% of its rare earth requirements from China, has been exposed to these supply chain disruptions.

Automakers such as Maruti Suzuki and Bajaj have reported hurdles in their EV plans, while electronics and machinery sectors have also faced pressure. Economists warn that prolonged shortages could ripple across multiple industries.

To counter this, New Delhi is preparing a ₹5,000 crore scheme to ramp up domestic production and reduce dependence on Chinese imports.

Against this backdrop, Munir is attempting to present Pakistan's mineral wealth as a strategic card.

The United States has stepped up efforts to secure alternative sources of critical minerals, viewing overreliance on China as a national security risk. Munir has visited the United States twice in the past few months for high-level engagements, underscoring a warmer phase in ties.

On Pakistan’s Independence Day, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said Washington was keen to “explore new areas of economic cooperation, including critical minerals and hydrocarbons.” His statement followed the announcement of a new trade agreement aimed at lowering tariffs and attracting US investment in Balochistan’s mining projects.

Washington has also expanded energy cooperation with Islamabad, with Pakistan’s largest refiner sealing a deal to import U.S. crude shipments as part of a wider oil deal. Furthermore, Trump has made overly optimistic claims about helping Pakistan to develop large oil reserves for potential exports.

Last month, Donald Trump unveiled a 25% tariff on Indian imports while simultaneously announcing an oil partnership with Pakistan. “We have just concluded a Deal with the Country of Pakistan, whereby Pakistan and the United States will work together on developing their massive Oil Reserves… Who knows, maybe they’ll be selling Oil to India some day!” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

These moves point to a broadening economic and strategic agenda between the two countries, where minerals could emerge as a new axis of cooperation. For Washington, Pakistan’s rare earth potential is another incentive to deepen ties. The Washington Post earlier reported that US officials view Pakistan’s untapped reserves as a hedge against Chinese dominance.

However, for Munir & Pakistan government this will be an act of balancing global powers.

But Pakistan’s strategic geography also ties it closely to Beijing. China is building a 2,000-mile transport network through northern Pakistan to a southern port, linking its Belt and Road Initiative to the Arabian Sea.

At the same time, separatist violence in Balochistan, where Reko Diq is located, continues to target mining operations. The US recently designated the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) as a terrorist organisation, aligning with Islamabad’s security concerns.

Munir has publicly stated that Pakistan seeks equilibrium in its external relations. “We will not sacrifice one friend for the other,” he was quoted as saying in Jang media, signalling a desire to balance ties with both the U.S. and China.
