(CDF / COAS)'s Desk

There have been active efforts on 1 & 2, but both of them are linked with terrorism and communities at the border who rely on it as a major source of income so it won't be easy or pretty.

As for the last, practically looking at things, I don't see it happening until at least things calm down politically. Pakistani politics are massively infiltrated with foreign agents & lobbyists, massively divided, something needs to bring balance to prevent chaos.

Sometimes a hierarchical authority at the top is necessary for an explosive divided society to prevent all-out chaos. Western democracy is not a fits-all-everywhere model. Diverse, tribal, divided societies often need higher order.

My two cents. Obviously the current democracy supporters, won't like it.
Bakwas .. ..

He is actually screwed keep watching this story….

It is my suggestion for the Hafiz saab to bring about a modern Islamic system of Khilafah in the country. The people like Baloch and Pakhtun who are breaking away from the country would unite again and we can invite other countries to join us in an European Union (EU) like economic and political Bloc. Islamic Economic policies are much more practical than the Western World Bank and IMF driven policies and would soon develop the country. The problem of TTP would be over and they would become free soldiers for the government.

You need to get your head checked if you think a housing society leaving, that too infamous for land grabbing villagers, is somehow a major loss.
....wonder if another similar housing society will face a similar fate?

Asim Munir has reportedly called for the skulls of anyone sabotaging the economy in a meeting with an ISI unit, including corrupt beuracrats and feudal mafia groups.

This explains Malik Riaz, many of these guys were protected by PTI as they supported his political campaigns I guess
He need to check 12 billion overnight transfer in Bajwa account. Asim Munir scared away foreign investment....most recent Microsoft shutdown operation.

It better for him to bring political leadership forward and give them control. He is doing all dirty work for few countries , creating more troubles for Pakistan.

Asim Munir went there for new instruction, training, next deployment and regional policy role. Plus a political protection. Basically PA COAS is foreign military wing.

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Asim Munir is undertaking an official visit to the United States and has engaged in high-level interactions with senior political and military leadership, as well as members of the Pakistani diaspora, the military’s media wing said on Sunday.

The visit comes shortly after he went to the US in June on a five-day official visit, where he met with US President Donald Trump over luncheon, becoming the first serving army chief to have a face-to-face meeting with a sitting US president.

During the trip in June, Field Marshal Munir stressed the “immense potential for a broader, multidimensional relationship built upon mutual respect” with Washington.

Today’s press release by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said: “In Tampa, COAS attended the Retirement Ceremony of outgoing Commander United States Central Command (Centcom), General Michael E. Kurilla, and the Change of Command Ceremony marking the assumption of command by Admiral Brad Cooper.

“COAS lauded General Kurilla’s exemplary leadership and his invaluable contributions to strengthening bilateral military cooperation, and extended his best wishes to Admiral Cooper, expressing confidence in continued collaboration to address shared security challenges.

In June, Gen Kurilla hailed Pakistan as a “phenomenal partner” in the arena of counter-terrorism, citing their struggle against terrorism in Balochistan and against terrorist groups like the Islamic State.

The field marshal also met with Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff General Dan Caine, where matters of mutual professional interest were discussed and Munir extended an invitation to General Caine to visit Pakistan.

The army chief also interacted with the chiefs of defence from friendly nations on the sidelines of the meeting, ISPR said.

“During an interactive session with the Pakistani diaspora, COAS urged them to remain confident in Pakistan’s bright future and to actively contribute to attracting investments.

“The diaspora reaffirmed their commitment to supporting Pakistan’s progress and development.”
