Chengdu J-20 5th Generation Aircraft News & Discussions

Here it is, from the official CCTV western estimate of J20 inventory, which is way too low
AVIC just introduced a "pulse assembly line" for J 20 reducing the manufacturing cycle of a single fighter from 30 days to 8 days.

Maybe @Michael and @iblini knows better, but this does not look like a CCTV-report! More like something fan-made.

My fear is, you once again - like so often - you fell for it since you are just eagerly hoping too much without checking the facts!

Fake news fabricated by self-media.

In the video, there are a lot of shots of the F-35 production line, as well as the J-10 production line and other shots released by CCTV. It looks a bit like "real".

So far, the official has never released the production line footage of the J-20.

More than ten days ago, I went to the production base of CAC headquarters. Its security measures are very strict, much stricter than the security measures of Tiananmen Gate in Beijing.
There are a lot of police outside the CAC production area, a PAP unit is stationed at the door, and there is a PLA building next to it... All the Chinese institutions that can carry guns that you can think of are here...
Don't worry, it will not be leaked.

Seems as if a grey J-20A (at least images 1 & 2) was seen again … as well as a J-35A.

Looks like the J20S is already in service and is going to attend the parade.

The two-seat version of the J-20 looks more beautiful, and its overall layout appears more proportionate.

First clear Image of an operational J-20A spotting the serial number 78737 - also from the 172nd Air Brigade - together with a regular J-20.

Shenyang Aircraft Corporation has completed more than half of its 2025 production targets. It is likely that J-35 production will significantly increase in 2026, with annual fifth-generation production exceeding 150 units (J-35A/J35, J-20A).
